So in my infinite wisdom I broke my under tail lp holder I have rigged it up with 4 zip ties attached to the plate. Do u think this will hold till I can repair it?

Not for long anyway. The plastic seems to degrade pretty quickly especially with a sharp edged lp vibrating against it. I bought a few of the stainless steel zip ties and carry them under the seat.

True the plastic will degrade but four of them working together (one for each hole, right?) combined with the plate not being heavy....
I'm thinking you're fine.

Give it a poke from time to time just to be sure.

I held mine in place with bread ties for a while, a little over a month.

Zip ties will hold up surprisingly well.

I used them to hold my fairing upper on the racebike (where the mirror stalks used to be)

Just check on them every once in a while. I bet just changing once or twice a year will work - certainly the stainless zip ties will outlast ALL OF US.

I agree with Slaughter.

Plust, not all zip ties are created equal. There are UV rated types that are expensive, but they can last near a lifetime even when exposed to the elements. The cheap ones, not so much.

Zip ties have been holding up for years holding my license plate to my boat trailer.

So i went to Lowes and got UV ones rated to hold 75 lbs. so these 4 of these should hold me up.
