So in my infinite wisdom I broke my under tail lp holder I have rigged it up with 4 zip ties attached to the plate. Do u think this will hold till I can repair it? |

Not for long anyway. The plastic seems to degrade pretty quickly especially with a sharp edged lp vibrating against it. I bought a few of the stainless steel zip ties and carry them under the seat. |

True the plastic will degrade but four of them working together (one for each hole, right?) combined with the plate not being heavy.... I'm thinking you're fine. Give it a poke from time to time just to be sure. |

I held mine in place with bread ties for a while, a little over a month. |

Zip ties will hold up surprisingly well. I used them to hold my fairing upper on the racebike (where the mirror stalks used to be) Just check on them every once in a while. I bet just changing once or twice a year will work - certainly the stainless zip ties will outlast ALL OF US. |

I agree with Slaughter. Plust, not all zip ties are created equal. There are UV rated types that are expensive, but they can last near a lifetime even when exposed to the elements. The cheap ones, not so much. |

Zip ties have been holding up for years holding my license plate to my boat trailer. |

So i went to Lowes and got UV ones rated to hold 75 lbs. so these 4 of these should hold me up. |
