Nice article on Erik Buell Racing and the 1190RS here: http://www.motorcycledaily.com/2011/06/buell-1190rs-welcome-back-with-full-specifications-and-video/ Mostly favorable reader comments, with a hater or two sprinkled in. Edit- link fixed. (Message edited by Hughlysses on June 14, 2011) |

Slide down the Error page (I got that too) and on the right side, under Latest Bike Reviews, is a link to the Buell story. With 175 hp driving just 389 pounds (wet, no fuel) through the incomparable Buell chassis I love reading stuff like that (Message edited by ratbuell on June 14, 2011) |

yeah, like the folks who think Buell was not profitable. I guess it is not common knowledge (outside the buell community) that HD was hiding its losses in their Buell division. Like overcharging for engines. |

It would be good for us to bring some truth to the comment section . . . . |

That would be great, but we all know some people don't like to hear the truth. They just want to put there own miss information. |

I have a strong suspicion that once the 1190 hits the tracks...it'll do all the speaking and truth-telling we could ever hope for |

today I noticed something that has changed on the 1190 that has not changed since the early 90's and that is the button housing. I think the new ones look so much better than the ones on all of the buell models, if for no other reason but the fact that it got rid of those dumb tabs for the horn and starter. |

> I have a strong suspicion that once the 1190 hits the tracks...it'll do all the speaking and truth-telling we could ever hope for I wouldn't count on that. It's fairly basic human nature to ignore reality in favor of what you want to believe. |

Tell us about reality. Sounds like an opportunity to learn. |

It would be good for us to bring some truth to the comment section . . . . I tried, but it got deleted. I wasn't flaming or being rude in any way but my comments were still modded off.???? |

The Nay-Sayers will just say it is a cheater bike because it has 190cc more than the rest just like they did in sport bike hp to weight means nothing to idiots all they see is engine size. |

The ducati is an 1198. No one is complaining. I have no doubt though that folks will find something to complain about when the RS starts winning races. (Message edited by hootowl on June 15, 2011) |

yea but there is no ducs in ama superbike nor is there any ktms either. So ebr is the only v-twin in the series there for it will be made to look like a cheater bike to the dumb masses now if the Erik Buell Racing was in WSB it would be right at home. It's nice to see most folks are liking it and interested in seeing success for EB.R. I guess because it's mostly ^^^ you guys that commented but nice to see none the less. |

Reindog, Earlier they were both gone....the one on the bottom ended up there when the post it was answering to (bashing Buell and Buells) was deleted. |

Speaking of Buell haters, isn't it curious that Stuporbikeplanet hasn't had a word to say about Erik Buell Racing since its inception, much less the 1190RS? |

It is curious but not surprising that Stupidbike hasn't said a word. Papa Honda probably hasn't told them what to write. (Message edited by 46champ on June 17, 2011) |

I left a comment (BigBrad&Dirty) We should all try to comment positively on the bike and ignore the haters and trolls. Reacting angrily to their crap makes us look like the bad guys...let them spew their crap, get ignored and move on to something else. |

But the front brake isn't used in MotoGP; it can run out of fuel, and the tires can go flat if they don't have enough air. |
