Where do you get it? I've looked previously just browsing because none of my kids have had an interest but all I've found is motocross stuff. Well, now the oldest has gone around the neighborhood a few times and is interested in going on a longer ride and I want to make sure she at least has a jacket, boots and gloves. She can wear her mother's helmet. Extra small womens stuff is a little big according to the sizing charts. All my google searches turn up youth leather jackets and when I click on them they're MX gear. So where do you all with kids, male or female, get their gear? |

I'm just looking for a simple leather or mesh/textile jacket and riding boots. Seems all the MX stuff is arm, leg and chest armor or boots with buckles up to the knee and in her words, "not too girly". Ohhh, I haven't checked e-bay, maybe they'll have something girly. |

Who cares if it's not girly - they'll grow out of it in 6 months, anyways. For boots, you could go with a kids-sized work book - thick leather, covers the ankle. Same idea for gloves. |

My girl and boy, 11 & 13, use their mom's gear for now. Cortech GX-Air jacket, Tourmaster Venture pants. Each has their own boots. |

"Who cares if it's not girly - they'll grow out of it in 6 months, anyways." That's alright, we'll be able to hand it down three times. And I agree about the boots, we're going to go to Meijer to see what they have. They usually have a good selection of that type of boot. If not there then some shoe store may have them. |

There needs to be a place that operates like play it again sports for this purpose. http://www.playitagainsports.com/ In fact, perhaps they should just expand what they buy/sell? |

I got my kids stuff (dirt and street) at Iron Pony... Lots of great deals on closeout stuff in the smaller sizes. |

I guess NewEnough is MotorcycleGear.com, that's where I got the gear for my little one. The HJC helmet has been great, especially because it's lighter than using mom's AGV lid, by a whole lot. Had to go with a ladies XS since although some products were listed for XXS I couldn't find any in stock. This gear will last a while, she'll outgrow the lid a long time before she gets too big for that jacket. I do have some kids MX gloves in a gray/silver color I can pass on. Haveta check the size at home. I tried my local stores first, but was unable to get her anything without going to special order anyway, and several even failed to offer that option. I've used MotorcycleGear.com when they were New Enough, they've always had great service. |

Got some leather boots at Meijer this weekend. Sturdy built, over the ankle, motorcycle boots on close out for $25. Can't beat that. So far we've got the boots, helmet and gloves. Dad jokingly said we should let her wear my old Michael Jackson Beat It jacket I had when I was in the fifth grade. I didn't even know they still had it. Wouldn't offer much protection but it would be hilarious. |

Well if it helps for sizing, my kiddo is 53" and 70lbs. The cortech jacket I got her was something like $30-$40, I let her pick the colors and it's got armor, liner, plus it's water proof. She's usually pretty excited to gear up. That's a ladies XS. You saw the pic in the pay it forward link? I think it will fit for at least 30 more pounds, however many years that equates to. She's prolly gonna want a mesh jacket for summer riding. Awesome price on boots! Was that mail order/internet or local? I've still got to get better foot protection for my girl. |

The boots were local, well picked them up in the store anyway. We were in Lexington (30 miles away) Fri. and stopped in to see what they had. They were in the women's shoe section, we're really pleased with the shoe for the price. I'll have to check that jacket out somewhere on line. It looks like it's a nice jacket, especially with armor and liner. |

http://www.milwaukeeleatheroutlet.com/Milwaukee-Ac celerator-Boots-FREE-SHIPPING-MB208.htm Those are the boots we picked up. Their sale price is $71 but like I said, if you can find your size Meijer has them on closeout for $25. |
