My son broke his hand late last week. It was not a motorcycle mishap but it sure has me thinking about broken bones and motorcycles. He broke two bones in this right hand. Yesterday he was fitted with two plates and a dozen screws to attach the bones together. He will probably get to carry this hardware around for the rest of life. I habitually wear most of the gear but lately I've begun to take a few rides with only helmet and gloves. That's stupid of me. I don't want to start another ATGATT debate thread, just wanted to share these thoughts. Wishing all of you no broken bones, ever. |

ATGATT wont always prevent broken bones, really just useful for rash Amen to that. My last wreck ended with a busted collar bone, three broken ribs, a punctured lung and a nearly broken back. I was wearing ATG and didn't even get a scratch. ATTGAT does allow for an open casket funeral service. |
