Steveford, it's not that cagers are getting worse, they're consistently bad.
However every season you've survived has made you better.
I get much the same sort of reaction from white collar folks as a truck driver.
Used to love the look of distaste from the mums at primary school when I rumbled up in the old Dodge pickup with straight pipes & got out wearing ratty jeans & rigger boots.
Well, they wouldn't want their precious snowflakes to end up like *you,* now...
It probably ties into the general lack of respect for blue collar type work in the US. I've done mostly white collar (not that I had to wear a collar as a sysadmin), but one of my favorite jobs ever was driving a bus in college (I did it for 3 years). Meet interesting people, cruise town at night in awesome busses, and when I was done with work, *I was done with work.* There was no "wake up in the middle of the night to fix a bus" like there was when I was a network admin. No random "ZOMG! Problem solved!" moments in the middle of sex. Etc. It was really, really nice.
I thought when the whole biker thing started after the war , most of them were wearing there brown leathers they came home with . Where did the black come from ? some Hollywood closet queen ? Gotta love that South park !
