http://galvestondailynews.com/story/236706 I have to think that there is a bit of exaggeration in this article. Are you really going to bother to flip off someone while your going 126mph on a Hardley? I can believe the part about losing control negotiating a slight curve, LOL. I'm sure that stranger things have happened. I'm glad no one died. (Message edited by jim2 on June 08, 2011) |

126 on a harley is completely doable. Seriously, I didn't think they could break 100. |

A less than 30 horsepower Ninja 250 can break 100, takes a long time but it will do it. 70 to 90 doesn't take long at all. |

Must be an old Ninja - their top speed was 100, but serious work to get there. The New Ninja is geared lower - top speed same as a bone stock Blast at 96mph, with 14 ft-lbs torque to the Blasts RW of 24 ft-lbs and 28 hp to the Ninjas 26. Their newer motor does make two more foot pounds of torque though. The new Honda 250 is ok - but still in the same general field. EZ |

At 90ish there were a few thousand RPM left in top gear, I was behind on my 9R, the speedo on the 250 said it was going a lot faster than my 9r indicated. The Ninja 250 should be good for a maximum of 112mph (125+ indicated). I think it is 8500 at 70mph out of 13,500 but it will not pull all the way to red in top gear unless going down a decent hill. |

so no one here has done 130+ on their buells (not counting 1125 models)? I know I've done an indicated 130mph on my tuber and it still had some in it. 130 mph is a lot, I understand that, but the thing is, he couldve been working up to that for a long, long time, we dont know. Its not like they are stating he did a 130mph pass in the 1/4 mile or something, just that he did it. |

I was told I hit 120 on my Wide Glide passing some trucks. I honestly didn't take a look, but my buddy on his Ducati said we were at 120. I wasn't topped out yet, but it was sure getting near the wall. A bit of engine work would certainly push it a bit faster. |

I hit 135 on the back straight at Mid-Ohio doing a CLASS school on my S-3. Of course, it seemed like everyone else was doing 165... oh, wait... (The 150 that I saw riding behind Reg Pridmore 2-up really made me look like a wimp!) |

My uncle's, sister in law's, cousin had a Sportster that would go 160, easy! While riding a wheelie, two up if he wanted to. Yeah, right. |

I've done 134 on my 03 XB9S. ( indicated ) Considering I rode my old jap bike from Dallas to Houston at a comfortable 127 laying on my gas tank... Literally the whole way, with 1 gas stop on a Sunday early morning. And for those who have drove highway 45, you know from Ferris to Conroe is "open season". BUT... fast forward some years and I barely break 80 ANYWHERE! I'll do 85 for a rush, Haha! |
