The XB frame was amazing but mostly because the Italians displayed great skill with a very difficult casting. The 1125 took that to a whole new level, beyond anything the Italians could dream of. Made in the USA using ablation casting which is patented and amazing. |

Very interesting. It was already mentioned that the 1190RS's wheels use ablation casting. |

Mine either. I forgot that Erik Buell Racing had posted on their Facebook page that the new website and store will go up on Thursday, June 9. 2 days and counting. This is almost like the annual July new year model update anticipation back in the old days. (Message edited by Hughlysses on June 07, 2011) |

A few of my buds stuck around for the Monday track day at Road America and one was on his 2002 RC-51 track bike doing his thing and braking into a corner, when suddenly Geoff May on an 1190 flew past him and was through the next corner by the time my buddy came out of the first corner he got passed in. (Still waiting on the reply on where on the track he got passed). He said it was hard to hear the bike over his engine but he said the thing was DAMN FASSSSTTT... |

Is Geoff ever on here? Just wondering because i would love to hear about the 1190 by the guy who rides it the best. |

He does come on here but it seems like it is very seldom and mostly in the racing section. From my conversation with him on Sunday he is madly in love with the bike. Best motorcycle he has ever ridden and they still don't have all the setup correct. He is understandably anxious to get it homologated so he can move up the leaderboard. Being 18mph down on the straights makes it very difficult to do much better than the 10th he is averaging. Barber is a long long shot and Mid-Ohio was a probably. |

personally, I am preparing myself for it to not appear this season in the AMA. That way I am not letdown as much. If it does, it's a huge bonus. |

I got a chance to spend a good deal of time talking to Steve Anderson who has spent considerable time on the 1190RS. . . . it only whetted my appetite to see the thing in action . . Geoff of frothing to get his hands on it. It's going to be fun! |

Sport Rider contains an Ad for AMSOIL that has a picture of Erik and one of Geoff on the 1125 the front tire not touching the track coming out of a turn. Erik's caption says "There's a reason we chose AMSOIL as our factory fill" the caption next to Geoff says "Geoff May AMSOIL/Erik Buell Racing Superbike." Its funny when I saw it, it seemed more like a warning than an ad. Storms a brewin. |
