Anybody know if there is a rental place near Gatlinburg TN? I did a search for any brand using Eagle Rider for the area, but the closest one is 4 hours away! http://www.eaglerider.com/locations.aspx Why ya ask? Well the wife and I are coming up on 10 year anniversary and we want to go back down to Gatlinburg where we took our Honeymoon. We are going to rent a car that gets better gas mileage then my Avalanche, and more reliable then her 11 yr old Dodge Intrepid. I have thought about getting a pickup and haul my bike down there, but i really don't wanna hassle with worrying about my bike for 7 days. Looking for a cruiser so we can just relax and not have me see how fast i can go every turn!(Which isn't that fast) Was looking for a Goldwing  but an HD Ultra or Street Glide i guess will do!! Usually the HD dealers rent pretty cheap during the week.I rented an Ultra Classic in CO Springs for $75.00 a day and the local dealer is running a simular deal right now. | ||

Thanks Barker. I do wanna ride a Concours real bad. For $100 day difference though, i will call some local dealers down in Tenn/NC. $75 a day would be a great deal and i would keep it a day or two longer. Nm5150, did you have to put a deposit down with that to? I assume most dealers you would have too. | ||

Call Smoky Mountain HD, ask for Shawn (or whomever is working rentals that day), they rent all kinds of big twins. 865-977-1669. I'd get a Road King. Be sure to ask about the best roads- even though you'll be in Gatlinburg, most of the best riding is outside the tourist jams... Heck, just PM me later and I'll getcha updated on the "road candy" rides... | ||

Change of plans. Heading to Vegas again instead. It's actually about the same price as renting a car, hotel, and bike down south.. I will make it down there one day! |
