Bikes packed and ready to go. I leave work tomorrow around noon and head that way.

Should be a nice little ride from Richmond, VA. 962ish miles.

I should be arriving at Alpine Valley Wednesday afternoon.

That would be AWESOME. . . If you want I can show you the old Buell Test Route (that hit Nature Trail) but my bet is that you know better roads anyway . .

This is going to be very cool ! . . .

I have been avoiding this thread because other obligations keep me away this year and I just didn't want to be reminded what I was missing. Hopefully, I be able to make it next year. I had a nice time last year. It would be good to get to know some of you in person.

HAVE A GREAT TIME! Be safe.

Hey Court:

That old Buell route, any chance that route is about 30 miles long?

When I bought my 1125r it had 31 miles on it. I met Jason B, a Buell engineer who came to work at GE Healthcare (now he's at Briggs & Stratton), and he told me that an elf must have taken my bike out for "testing" on a course about that distance.

F22raptor and I will have to hook up and ride this course.

I'm planning on riding all three bikes to different events. I'm really getting excited about all this.

I'm sure he will take you on Nature Trail. But .....use caution ...it's REAL easy to get REAL airborne.

Tons of great roads in the area.

lol, i know, i know. but the green 9 has been out of commission for far to long. needs a main shaft bearing/swing arm bearings/rear shock/if i remember right a fork rebuild/and i dont remember what else. it is very high on my list in the next month or so to get torn apart and fixed back up. i miss riding it.

instead you'll just have to look for this...!

i doubt you'll miss it ; )

Trees on both sides, and the hills to get airborne are going into, and rolling out of the valley. Crosswinds usually aren't a problem.

>>>I trust that you filled out the perquisite Form for Perfect Weather

Ahhhhhh . . . the famed "RFDW" from the much fabled Anaheim IMS Show from 1995.

Correct you are Chauly (I call him Chuck) . . . we did indeed neglect well established tradition and paid dearly only moments after coming off The Dragon.

I still recall when the clouds burst and the humidity jumped to about 112% . . I was on your tail as you navigated the "shockless Honda ST" . . . I was doing fine until I coughed and coated the entire inside of my visor with a 3/32" coating of fog.

All I could see was your tail light . . no bike, no road no nothing . . and I kept chanting the mantra . . "follow the red spot, he can't go anywhere you can't".

In retrospect, and deference to your superior skills (there are a couple people here who know who you actually are) I may not have been entirely correct.

By the way . . . you don't have many "glitches" in a glorious riding history but I told the story of the GPS at the Mequon Ferry Terminal the other day . . that still makes me laugh so hard that tears flow.

: )

P.S. - for those of you who missed the story of the little show I put on for the 3 buses of Japanese tourists on Katella . . well . . it was ugly and involved some abuse. Which explains why a couple early magazine photos of the "New Buell S1" had folks standing in front of where the headlight would otherwise be.

It was U-G-L-Y.

Remind me to tell you . . . .
