"you'll collect hatred from other drivers like condensation on a frosty glass, sure, but it'll be legal hatred. And that's the sweetest hatred of all" "The social labyrinth is like navigating a high school prom, except you're sprinting through it at about 75 mph, on one leg, while programming a remote control and probably being attacked by bees." "Has anybody ever told you what it's like to feel rain against your body at 65 mph? If you want to simulate this experience for yourself, that's easy: Just go stand in the yard in the middle of a Category One hurricane." "You'll show up to work smelling like you just went down on a Transformer." "We stink, we stupidly risk our lives just to exchange platitudes, people try to murder us constantly (and that's only when we're not trying to do it ourselves by riding between cars and running lights) and all while constantly, constantly covered in screaming spiders -- and we all still ride." Best thing Iv seen in awhile.ROFLMAO |

Sad but true. Yet, I still enjoy it. Something must be wrong with me... |

I'd like to add that i have had the spider experience and they always wait till I'm moving to emerge and without fail climb to the wind screen to be launched at my chest by the torrent of wind.... Fortunately no wasps yet |

No spiders for me either, but I did take a wasp to the chest, felt like getting hit with a quarter. It wasn't till we stopped 10 miles later and got off that I realized the wasp was still alive and had it's stinger stuck in my seat right between my legs. Lucky day... |

You need to add a few... #7 - how expensive tires can be and how often they have to be replaced! I had no idea how quickly my husband would go through tires when he first got into motorcycles. When he needed a second rear tire the first summer I was floored! My tires lasted 65,000 miles on my truck, what the hell was wrong with his tires? Boy was I clueless! Now tires are part of the monthly budget. Thankfully we have a friend who has a NoMar tire changers, so some expense has come down. # 8 - how expensive gear can be or that you'll need a separate closet just to house all of it! We've also learned a lot about gear since he first started riding. We now have a closet full of gear for everyone in the house. Helmets line the shelves in the closet and the daily helmets live on the top of the china hutch. #9 - if you ride Buells and are lucky enough to find BadWeb, you'll meet some of the finest people you will call friends. You'll look forward to meeting them on annual rides and miss them if they don't post often. |

I only almost died twice on my way to work today.... its going to be a good day! Once right next to my house... hot chick in a big truck left of center... WOOO HOOO $HIT she almost go me! Second... another truck driver towing a trailer with lawn cutting equipment decided to get out of the left lane... with his turn signal on and everything... was damn near all the way in the right lane and had a QUICK change of heart and swerved left. we both had that OH $hit moment together... it made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside when he waived to let me know he screwed the pooch... i needed to change my skivvies... but at least I got a wave... can't wait for the ride home! |
