They embody all that is wrong with religion and none of the good. They are a disgusting blight on this world and I hate that the constitution protects them. (I understand it but hate it just the same.) to me they are a hate group and should be looked on with the same disdain that the KKK and so on receives. Not sure it would require a Franklin. Let them protest a battered, beaten group of people who have lost everything and have nothing to lose and being in jail would at least be a roof over their heads and meals on the table and the "church" will likely feel the wrath of God. | ||

WBC is no more a church than Al Sharpton is a reverend. The church has 71 members with nearly all of the related to Phelps by blood or marriage. Nearly every family has at least one attorney or both adults in the couple are attorneys. They don't really believe anything they say. It's a scam using the First Amendment for protection. WBC is NOT a church. These people are NOT Christians. They have found a way to vertically integrate victim with defender. They march into a town and say the most heinous things to the families of victims for the SOLE purpose of inciting assault and battery against themselves and then video tape the crime. They then sue not only the perpetrator or ridiculous sums of money but they sue the city for not protecting them. Since they are both victim and defender, they get both sides of the settlement. Each "member" gives vast sums of tax deductible "tithes" to the church who uses these contributions to fund protest costs. The church has vast resources as a result. Unlike business costs where only a portion is deductible, 100% of the contributions to WBC are deductible. The church is then able to funnel funds back into the pockets of the family "members" tax free. Church gives them $10,000 for church related travel expenses and doesn't ask for the change. PLEASE don't confuse these mutant slip and fall lawyers with a church or with Christians. They are neither. | ||

Be CAREFUL. Don't go there it you don't want them to have creepy photos/video of you and your vehicle. They always have a big obvious cameraguy and I am convinced that they have covert filming as well just in case someone goes for the obvious cameraman. Avoid all contact. Seriously. I'm not sure where they would protest. A LARGE swath of destruction is in the middle of town. They are usually no more than a dozen people in an area that is 1 mile by 4 miles. If I see them, I'll probably stop to take a picture or two. We worked to clear fallen trees, secure a roof, deliver disaster supplies and hand out bottled water to residents under boil order. While roughing up WBC retards would be entertaining, most here have better things to do. | ||

I think the clean up workers need to hem them in with a few downed trees and debris. They tried to protest outside Fort Meade a few months ago. By the time they showed up, there were about 500 people on the spot where the 10 of them were going to 'spread their word'. I've put serious thought into my actions if/when they cross my path. | ||

wbc issue would be survival. track down all thier camera guys. Its just like whipping cream whip till fluffy! If they come back or file suit visit with them again. Had similar problem with a HOA vice pres he tried to break into my home with my sweetie home alone. Then he tried to mess with her again and he met the 110lb hound then he sued her. Drkside, They barely got out of the van. They milled around for a couple minutes, loaded back up and left. Probably the only intelligent thing they've done in a while. If I hadn't had to be a work an hour before they were going to show up, I would have been there too. I had notions of taping up the plate and markings on the bike, filling a ketchup squirt bottle with deer piss, and rolling by...'accidentally' disposing of the contents as I went by. | ||

Fams good. Spent the day doing post tornado demo to keep the mold and mildew down. What's interesting is that there are very few homes that are being repaired. Your house had little damage or is totaled. There isn't much in between. My wife's aunt's house and the one next door will be salvaged. The next one down it toast. The one across the street is toast. The one next to it will be salvaged. I posted a picture of a car sitting in the garage of a house. It's just the slab. The entire rest of the house is just gone. There isn't even a rubble pile. |
