Is there any hypocrisy the man is unwilling to breach?

quote:

In his commencement speech at Hamilton College on Sunday, former Vice President Al Gore told the graduates that global warming is “the most serious challenge our civilization has ever faced.” But as an undergraduate at Harvard University in the late 1960s, Gore--one of the most prominent spokesmen on climate change today--earned a “D” in Natural Sciences.

Check the video.

So just raising a glass is a toast now? No actual drinking required? What is this world coming to?

Actually according to the Goracle himself his interest in nature, science and environmentalism stems from his fathers influence when he was a young boy.

"that doesnt mean he hasnt researched it and learned about it since then"

Let's hope he's learned something since "an inconvenient truth", because that was a pack of lies. Sadly, I don't think he has. The more he is proven wrong, the more entrenched he becomes in his position. If he wasn't making so much money off the deal, I'd say he has gone a little crazy. No, I think he knows exactly what he is doing.

He's learned to call it "climate change" instead of global warming.

He has yet to even take opposing questions, let alone engage in debate. He even refused to listen to Republican opening comments during a senate committee hearing. The media is completely out to lunch. If he were campaigning on the inconvenient truth about abortion, the murder of unborn babies, can you imagine how the lamestream media would crucify him?

Owens,

>>> He didnt do well in college in that course...

The truth is that he didn't do well in college period. He failed a number of courses. He's not very bright and he knows it. Beyond the reach of his canned presentations, he'd be eaten alive. Like Jeff notes, his Inconvenient Truth was full of falsehood, exaggeration, conspicuous omissions of fact, highly misleading commentary, and ripped off fake imagery, not to mention really poor science.

Liberals don't let get facts in the way of their infatuation. Blake, only the choir here is listening to the facts. Meanwhile:

The Left shifts the subject.
The Left ignores the facts.
The Left name calls.

This is the SIN of the Left. Thanks to Herman Cain.

There are plenty of Liberals on Badweb. They have no ammunition to refute what they know is the truth but they will never admit it. However, most know they are standing on quicksand and some will save themselves through Conservatism. I did.

Gore's father, Albert Gore, was known as the senator from Occidental Petroleum and known as a bag man for Armand Hammer, president of the company. His estate was largely Occidental stock. No irony that our boy Al would turn around and bite the hand that fed him for fun and profit.

I would say blatant hypocrisy, not irony. It's just the difference of the life Al leads vs. the life he claims everyone else should lead. Did you know about his zinc mine? http://www.informationliberation.com/?id=28106

Here's a quote that backs what I said about his fathers influence...

quote:

"He taught me how to plow a steep hillside with a team of mules. He taught me how to clear three acres of heavily-wooded forest with a double-bladed axe. . . . He taught me how to stop gullies before they got started. He taught me how to drive, how to shoot a rifle, how to fish, how to swim. We loved to swim together in the Caney Fork River off a big flat rock on the back side of his farm." --Al Gore on his father, Sen. Albert Gore Sr., from algore2000.com

You'd have to be a complete idiot to shun a saw in favor of an axe when clearing timber. What a moron. The man is a serial liar. That appears to be just another in a long line.

Actually yes. He sells himself medieval indulgences, I mean Carbon Credits, ( no I don't ) to "offset" his frequent private jet & armored car travel.

Gore also failed divinity school. I suspect that's why he loves the prophet gig so much.

Al gore is like sheldon from big bang theory only he's not quirky in a funny way but a creepy way. His former wife made waves in the 80's leading a crusade against music artists freedom of speech. She was like all religious and stuff. Watching al gorlioni force tongue his wife on SNL was like watching bill clinton court hearings. Awkward with copious ammounts of sweat. The only thing more creepy and arrogant than gore is his closet buddy edwards.

The knocking up an employee bit is SOP for many men of power and lack of caring. Evil, but common.

The bit where Edwards had another employee claim the affair and child and have them live in his house with his wife? That kicks into the realm of royalty and the Italian parliament. But... what do you expect from a guy that got $millions$ channeling the ghost of dead babies in court to win a judgment against doctors for giving children a disease that is genetic? ( or in laymens terms.... he sued doctors for nothing at all... and got rich. Like suing the Harley Dealer for selling you a bike slower than a Hayabusa. It's not the dealers fault that the design just won't do 200mph, stock. )

While "The Globe" has proven a total pile of trash, ( Condi Rice and GW Bush affair? Sure, and Milla Jovovich has the hots for me ) "The National Inquirer" has proven more reliable than the NYT or the TV networks at outing politicians affairs. I'd still doubt the Elvis sightings, though.

I've laughed about that at well . . . the National Enquirer and TMZ have become more trusted news sources than the Gray Lady.

Laurie and I read the Daily News and The New York Post when we are in civilization. I wouldn't touch that smear of Gray Lady dung for their abandonment of their principles (although the Sunday magazine supplement is still top notch).
