XVI Got such a mess of personal stuff we might not make it. TOTALLY bummed out - especially since we're out already over Memorial weekend. |

Just passed the 3 year mark at High Country; after 5 years, I can take vacation during the Summer. I was VERY lucky, last year - my boss bent the rules and let me off for Homecoming. 2010 was EPIC! I'll never forget Erik's face when he realized his entire parking lot was full of Buells. Y'all be safe and have fun. Wish I could be there. Z |

You know what ? I got the coffee thing all figured out on my cross country trip ! Really easy. Got LPG and what MSR calls a "Pocket Rocket" (yeah I know someone should be fired for that one)... powdered Starbux and powdered coffee mate vanilla creamer. I am only bringing enough for me and one friend tho... if you want any at our campsite that is cool too... but I picked a somewhat remote location...

Joe, You can find another job. Workin' on it But the "new job" requirement isn't an "I'm too broke to go" problem, it's a severe lack-o-time-off that weekend because its our open house. If I took that weekend off...I'd have EVERY weekend off because I wouldn't have to come back again.} |

Crusty... PM me your route... maybe we can hook up... same goes for any of you up in the Pennsylvania/ Ohio area... thinking of leaving Franklin North Carolina on Sunday the 29th, with a route up the Blue Ridge... maybe to West Virginia that night... mess around PA area the 30th Monday... then arriving over in East Troy area by the night of the 1st. I have some flexibility in route and schedule, but have to be at Hal's on Friday the 2nd for sure and want to make Erik Buell Racing the 1st. Anyone who wants to hook up just PM me your cell and let me know. |

I'd have EVERY weekend off because I wouldn't have to come back again. That's what I'm sayin'. I guess it goes this way. Person does just enough work so the boss don't fire them and the boss pays them just enough so they don't quit. Or, you show up every day the boss wants you to so that he keeps wanting you to show up. It's a messed up little trap. I want to do the work I enjoy doing. Oh wait, I wouldn't call it work then. Traps, just traps. I need to put together a wood shop with a metal shop on the side, and just start doing what I like doing! WOW, where did that come from? Sometimes I wish the boss would fire me. They won't cause I work too good. trap ! What did you say Crusty? 15? Lets just say I have 8 more work (trapped) days. |

I know, RD. I'm right there with ya. Except for this pesky mortgage, and three lovable furballs who I keep here with me. I gots ta take care of my own I will return to a gig that I love. Eventually. But right now...everything in life is still on its ear, worse than it was in '08, and I'm still trying to hold it all together. But if '08 didn't kill me... |

We ended up at some lodge nearby . . . there seem to be quite a few small places in the area. We made reservations for Friday and Saturday night. |

Steel, I got a campsite at High Cliff near Lake Winnabego. I am camping there with one friend. We have room for four more people and four more bikes. If you have a car, though, I think you would have to reserve your own site. We will be there 3rd, 4th and 5th evenings. You can find info here: http://dnr.wi.gov/org/land/parks/specific/highclif f/camping.html |

>>>>Are there any restrictions on taking pictures at RA? None what so ever . . . . in fact, I think you will find Road America a gold mine of things to photograph. If you missed any of the photos of the Erik Buell Racing 1190RS from Daytona . . . it's a bike that loves to be photographed. The more you look at it . . the more you'll like it. Folks from GEOFF aMAYzing to magazine editors continue to make comments like "we expected a great bike but NOTHING like this". Folks seems to generally have been lured into the misthinking that the 1190RS would be a hot rodded Buell (owned by HD) not a pretty much entirely new motorcycle using 469 new parts from 111 of of the world's best vendors. Take all the photos you want. We're going to have a fabulous time. I spoke to Dave Gess yesterday and we'll speak again this weekend but this is shaping up to be one of the most fun Buell Homecoming events ever. |
