These type of threads suck...So the joke is over... I personally know a couple people on here Patrick aka Doon and Mike aka Two Buells the know I am not an angry person I am actually a quiet person. I'm just a keyboard pirate on line and like to joke around or bust balls. I don't have three kids I do have a 4 year old daughter... I do work for GE and love the company... Beside how could anyone rant and rave over a job that pay $80,000 a year with nice benefits... I am neither pro union or anti union I work at a company that offer the best for me and my family if it is union oh well... I got to work do my job and collected my money... I would never try and start a business I don't know how to run one properly... I do have a business on ebay but a buy as much as I sell so it's really not a business just a way to get toys. So I would like to say I'm sorry for continuing an argument that was really going nowhere and worthless. If you do not accept my apology I will understand why? | ||

There was a time when people could expect to get a job with a company and quite possible retire from that same company decades later. this was considered normal through the 50s or so. Unions gained much of their power during the 40s and 50s. I really have to wonder what drove the new found lack of loyalty between employer and employee. I sure don't think the adversarial relationship that unions create helped any. I've heard many times about the great company the Buell was. Big family type business that built a great product. Can someone argue how Buell might have benefited from unions? I don't think so. | ||

Loyalty? What I found interesting was seeing the GM plant here change shifts. Union hats, tee shirts, license plates, on foreign cars. I didn't see one GM hat, tee shirt, license plate or more than five GM cars. In my mind it looked more like they were working for the union rather than GM. | ||

So, I started skimming the last page of this thread, and then flipped back to page one... ...and there's you-know-who running his mouth about how this hate-filled washed up website is full of right wing zombies spewing their brainwashery at every turn. He keeps saying he is leaving, never to return, but there he is, pathetic as ever, his communist leanings and love for all things union plain for all to see. Of course, there will be those who take the time to figure out who I'm referring to and spout off about some event from years past that was so great and is therefore the defining event by which all his future doings should be judged, regardless of the general malfeasance displayed by the individual at present. To them I say we are, each of us, only as good as the very last thing we did. Five years ago, I might have been shocked or appalled by his recalcitrance. Don't lower yourself to their level. I have noticed there is a tendency for Conservatives to employ logic (and good spelling/grammar) while the Lefties immediately result to either: 1) emotional outbursts. 2) outright name calling. 3) demonization of Conservatives that they somehow want old people to die and children to starve. 4) avoidance of a logical response. 5) changing the subject. (This is a tactical weapon that Democrats tend to use when they have been outgunned). 6) dead silence. It is pretty telling. That said, this IS just a motorcycle tard board and most people here are basically good. Even Rocco,  So stand down a tad, Matt. BTW, how is Georgia life and the future wife? Kenm123t, In the vernacular of my children, "tards" are people who choose to act foolishly or are just generally stupid, wasting the time of others which in my opinion is the worst kind of thievery. Pure evil. People who are genuinely retarded or suffer some other form of mental deficiency can't help themselves and deserve our compassion and/or assistance in life, as is the Christian way. Tom, Life here in the deep South is as good as it gets. The population here is generally conservative in nature, people are friendly, and I've got steady work. Hell, I'm putting away money for my retirement which is something I've not been able to do much in the past. Getting married in California next year, tentative date is October 15, 2012. I'm sure Rocco is a stand up guy, willing to help his fellow rider like the rest of us. It's just when he gets on his perch and squawks down at the rest of us like an angry bird that he gets my feathers in a ruffle.  While I don't like communism, it doesn't necessarily mean I don't like people who are communist. I reserve that for people who actually go the extra step and try to impose their way of life on me, in a country that was founded on the ideals of liberty... when there are plenty of places they can go and be around their own ilk. | ||

If the American people don't reawaken to the principles of Conservatism, then I am pessimistic of the future of America in the long term. Democrats in the past fify years have been leading us down an unsustainable road by exploiting divisive class and ethnic warfare in a bid for power. Children are being taught the benefits of victimhood and learn that they can vote themselves largess from the public treasury. There is only ONE path where this leads. Dictatorship. Democracy failed in Greece and Rome and there is NOTHING to prevent it from happening here except for an educated citizenry. I am friends with Leftists but I just don't understand why they can't see the foolishness of their beliefs. If I am still alive when the dictatorship arrives, I will hold the Left responsible and they will feel my wrath. I know I am not alone. Until that day, we are cordial, friendly, and we can debate so they can slowly educate themselves. Luckily, I will probably be dead before or if that day of reckoning arrives. Make no mistake. It is coming without a course correction. This piece of Nothing who currently occupies the White House has weakened our way of thinking with his so-called Community Organizing ways. We have a kid we race karts with thats retarded a sweeter soul than most of the world. he's 11 a racer does pretty well and he hangs out in our pit all the time. He drives some folks crazy but racing wouldnt be the same with out him. His dad trys to get him to stay in thier pit but he has become the social kid on the track! |
