Please don't start bashing HD, I'm sure this happens all the time, and to lots of different companies. I just thought it was funny, and another indicator of the global nature of manufacturing these days.

Same thing happened the other day when I bought some halogen lightbulbs... I always check where stuff comes from, and make my decisions accordingly.

In this case, I specifically bought GE bulbs because the box said "Made in USA". Get home, open the box, bulbs stamped with "Made in China", exactly what I was trying to avoid!

So peeved, I called GE, let them know what I thought of that, and they said that they would send me something to make up for it - coupons or something. That was over a month ago and I'm still waiting. Not impressed.

It takes a long time to ship those coupons from India where customer service is.
