Putting the country of origin on the packaging...
if the contents are made in a different country?
Or, it could be that those silly Canadians simply can't spell. Please don't start bashing HD, I'm sure this happens all the time, and to lots of different companies. I just thought it was funny, and another indicator of the global nature of manufacturing these days. |

Same thing happened the other day when I bought some halogen lightbulbs... I always check where stuff comes from, and make my decisions accordingly. In this case, I specifically bought GE bulbs because the box said "Made in USA". Get home, open the box, bulbs stamped with "Made in China", exactly what I was trying to avoid! So peeved, I called GE, let them know what I thought of that, and they said that they would send me something to make up for it - coupons or something. That was over a month ago and I'm still waiting. Not impressed. |

It takes a long time to ship those coupons from India where customer service is. |
