I've always wondered has anyone ever put one of these miniature engines on a dyno? Do they put out real horsepower that can be measured or do they put out just enough to run. I'm not slighting the builders I'm just curious.
of course they produce power. They might not be able to do much, having smaller parts though. If you ever go to a antique power show you can usually see a bunch of old hit-and-miss utility engines that people bring. Some of them will be running miniature hay balers and popcorn machines or fans. pretty much anything you can figure out how to run with a belt.
even the oldest washing machines were gas engine driven.
This stuff ALWAYS spins my crank.... Check out this website, he has a blown V8 running on alcohol. It sounds like a mini top fuel motor. I corresponded with this guy a few years back, pretty neat guy.
