Well the prevailing thought would be that Microsoft has more $ than they know what to do with so this purchase which is chump change to them may allow them to close the gap on Apple and Google in the cellphone market. |

Microsoft has $50.1 Billion, caps intended to stress, in mostly cash but also some short term investments saved up over the last few years burning a hole in their pockets. Don't be surprised to see them and others start to "buy" more companies in the next year. Apparently savings accounts and short term investments don't pay well enough |

I was a fan, it is how I communicated to the Ukraine, it will be interesting to see what new 'functionality' and 'performance enchancements' microsquishy is planning;.... and you know theres going to an EULA and user subscription fee coming. |

well its a good thing I switched to oovoo (mostly because skype still does not work on android phones with the video chat and oovoo does) but I defiantly will not use skype now. |

What's the plan? Bury it? That used to be the MS SOP. Buy it and bury it so it won't compete. |

How unAmerican. Here we are in a terrible position, desperate to lower the national debt, and cash fat as they are MS just wants to avoid paying into the very system that made them so successful. We need to change all those loopholes into nooses. |

I have experienced the first glitches with skype; pure usability issues that are 'fabricated' requiring a reinstall to get the new 'upgrade' as the older wasnt covered under the Microsquish umbrella - hello new outages, poor feed rate, dimmer quality, and an 8 to 15 second lag; on what was almost instaneous. Thanks Redmond, Thanks Bill. jack wagons. |

Don't know what issues you have been having, I have been in the same Skype call for over three hundred (300 hours) without any problems. |
