I've not seen this hill in person, but sometimes hills look far worse in pictures or from a distance. So when do I get to try that bike on the hill ? |

MN _ curious, what were they asking for the bike? I cant tell from the pic, sorry. And I dont know enough about the sportys, is that a sportster frame modded or a custom frame or what? I got to say, this is probably the most 'dirtbike' one I've seen yet (not seent that many, maybe 20), I really like it. |

Don't think there was a price on it,just a number. I'd say it's an old motocross frame with the Sporty engine and tank. |

30 degree with interspersed 50+ degree whoops 500 feet long No problemo. That second whoop d do kicked him to the right pretty hard. Little room for error after that! |

Look up Chillicothe Ohio Hillclimbs its a set of stairs rough on a yamaha 2 stroke. Guy tried to run a Honda 750 based hillclimber he didnt get the balance point right. he went into the hill like a .22 bullet broke both arms |

Thirty four years ago..........that is what my Yamaha TT500 was into. Thirty four years.....wholly shit! Back then I would have raced him up the hill and traded bikes with him for the next round(if we survived the first trip!). I used to love me some hill climbs. My buddies and I didn't consider them steep if you had the balls to ride it back down. |

One of the coolest wrecks I have ever seen was that of my best friend of the time, riding a mid 70's 400 Husky up a hill similar to that. He went over backwards going so fast that he slid on his back feet first up hill for about 70 feet. The bike tumbled up hill before tumbling down. I was right on his six when it happened. It was awesome! |

From the looks of that picture I've been up plenty of hills like that, but with a running head start and mostly on a KX250 2-stroke and some on a KX450F. The bad part is, where we ride, once you get to the top you have to turn around and ride it back down (I've been known to spend 30 minutes trying to find the easy way). Front brake covered and rear wheel locked and sliding as it tries to get to the bottom before you. Dumping it 3/4's the way up a hill is scary. You have to drag your front wheel to face downhill, lift it up, get on real quick and hope you have it under control before you're doing 60. |

I may be man enough for that hill on my KX250, not sure. But I am not man enough for Poags Hole hillclimb on any bike. Check out the Youtube video on a google search. |
