I dont think I can use the actual bar clamp on my 1125R but it might be a starting point for me to MacGyver something.

Tb - I've wanting to put a GPS on my R and hit the same problem, dont know where I can easily mount a bar mount. BUT
Ram mounts offers a base that goes on top of your resevoirs, may be an option for you as well

RAM mounts are AWESOME. I had one for my iPhone. Highly adjustable as well.

I've had a GPS RAM mount for 5 years on my S3 and never a problem.

RAM has a mount that will attach to the center cap on the headset bearings. I have not tried it, but I am thinking about ordering one.
