Who is going to be around East Troy on Friday and Saturday? Anyone? Anyone have a room he wants to share in Elkhart on Friday and/or Saturday? I'd like to know whether to cancel my Friday/Saturday reservation at Alpine - and I'm too darned old and stiff to go camping ! |

I'm staying at Alpine Wed and Thur night and then moving to a hotel in Plymouth for Fri and Sat. night. It's about 10 min from the track. You are more than welcome to share the room with me, Fri and Sat. If anybody wants to share a room at Alpine Thursday night, let me know also. |

In Chicago, there's still enough time for 40 days and 40 nights of rain before HC. |

I think I'll try to get the same hotel as I did last time I made it in 2007. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&g eocode=&q=elkhorn,+wi&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn= 51.708931,85.341797&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Elkhorn,+Wal worth,+Wisconsin&ll=42.651211,-88.540449&spn=0.011 836,0.020835&z=16 The swimming pool was a crazy waste of time though. Didn't get my shoulders wet @ 5 feet "deep end" |

Does anyone plan on going to Plymouth Friday night for the flat track races? That is if they have them. It would be fun to ride over as a group! |

Dale, I'm planning on going up sometime on Friday, not sure when. How much do the flat track races cost (about)? |

Milt, The flat track races typically run around $10. You get a lot of racing for your money! |

Ourdee. . . .the pressure is mounting . . there has been a disturbance in the Force and the 9 10 year olds Grandmother gave him a ticket to Disneyworld during Homecoming . . . He's GONE! Weights on you big guy . . . Like Patton hitting that beach at Normandy . . I'll expect you tall, bold and "on the job". We're gonna have a blast! |

Why yes, he was! Patton took command of the Southern thrust thru France after June 6th, 1944. (& did a great job, too!) |

Some of us will be having a "blast" on a slightly modified blast. Ourdee, what are we going to do without leadership? It'll be like I'm still at work. Matt |

I'm in for a ride on Fri.We need a tour guide for north and west of East Troy area. I don't know the roads that well, but I may be able to help (I can read a map). I live just down the road, but most of my commuting is done south or east of where I'm at. |

Tell Sir 10 Year Old to kick Mickey in the shin for me. I understand that sometimes we just have to listen to our inner child. Like Patton....I think I'll leave the pistol and jeep at home. I'll bring a helmet though. At least you didn't say I was leading "Market Garden". I tell the supervisors at work to get out of the way. How can you ever have a self directed work force and micro management? I try to teach the union brothers that if you are on the task before you are told to, then you can't be told what to do. Some of them will never get it. We will shine. Ian, You might try planning the route so that we wind up at some obscure place to eat that we would have missed otherwise. Some cheap dive with amazing soup or other oddity like fresh apple cider and hot cinnamin poptarts. "Ride to eat/Eat to ride" =] Maybe we could roll up to the farm and stop on the road to gawk and take pictures. note: no trespassing. Maybe Erik could serve peanut butter sandwiches with grape coolaid? Oh ya, I think he is busy that day. Maybe two routes; One with twisties and + 5 or 10 speeds, and another return route with posted speeds and scenery. |

Ten bucks is within my budget for some good, wholesome entertainment. Of course, I need to reserve a larger amount for unwholesome entertainment.... |

Since you guys are going to be in the Road America area and planning Homecoming. You might not want to forget maybe dropping in on one of our sponsors here on the Forum. That would be Brian Nallin and his crew at Revolution Performance. They are in Plymouth just 10 minutes from Road America. I bet he'd love to see some of you guys. The man was legend and still is making things go fast and reliable. Just a thought for you's to maul over. |
