Well, or have been stationed here. Got my parents coming to Germany in July and there's a biker only Bed and Breakfast here they found.

Looks interesting. Wondering if anyone has stayed or been to that area before?

I was only there for "Stop Startbahn West" for 4 days in the early 80s. Protesters called me a fascist. They weren't very nice people when sprayed down with 50/50 cs and water out of a water canon. I wasn't too scared there were only 80,000 of them and 44 of us. Crazy days those were.

Take them to Rothenburg for an old German city experience.

I lived (in the military) there many years ago but I don't think these things have changed much.

1. Fussen to see the "Disney" (Neuschwanstein) castle and the Hohenschwangau Castle across the valley.
Neuschwanstein is newer and has some amazing architecture. Hohenschwangau has some impressive treasures and innovations.

2. Garmisch-Partenkirchen; a beautiful resort town summer or winter.

There are many more places, but I must admit that Bavaria was one of my favorite places when I lived there during not such a good time.

Well, parents will be here for 2 weeks. We have many places to go and the two castles that Gregtonn suggested are on the list to go too. The B&B place is just another place for a good days ride and stop. Seems like a good place to stop. Keep up the suggestions. I've got 3 years here at a min and need places to go.

Some beautiful little villages along the banks of the Rhine, Oppenheim springs to mind just south of Mainz.
Nierstein is close by, where they make some outstanding wine.

A Rhine cruise might be an idea too.

Enjoy yourselves.

Go to Cologne. Smells a it funny but a great City.
Hamburg (I'm thinking "Reeperbahn") is fun too, but probably not something your parents would enjoy too much!

Rent a fast car and take them for a ride on the Autobahn, maybe full tilt in a V8 family sedan at 156 mph or so, all perfectly legal.
