Larry Wright, aka REVz stuck in Bryson City, `nc Appears that ignition switch is intermittant. ```will check at Cherokee HD Sat, to if they have switch if not, can I buy a regular switch from Radio Shack and wire? if so have three wires on switch...how to wire? Revz I think it's the same as mine, that quit working entirely. One cold dark night out of town of course. I got to the connector, cut the wires to the switch and tied them all together. That was last fall. I still plug up my connector to crank it. Then I unplug it and put it in my pocket. I'm gonna fix that one of these days...... Rotzaruck! | ||

You know, Bryson City would be a great place to be broken down though. Especially if your bike was running. If it was a little warmer you could go tube down Deep Creek! | ||

Revz, I don't know your current Buell but your profile says S3. The ignition switch from a HD Dyna FXD,FXDL are the same. so is the connector hope that helps | ||

Try spraying contact cleaner into the switch innards and working it back and forth- sometimes that'll get one working again. You can get that at Radio Shack. | ||

Thanks to all...It was the ignition switch...I was able to jumper and was able to get out, and made it to H-D for service...and finally made it home, to Mich. Thank you very everyone who offered help, I can see now the strength of a smart phone (don't have one) hard to stay in touch..and I apologize for that. Again, thank you all for your support...
