Pretty cool but don't Blast already get close to 70mpg to begin with and diesel is typically more expensive than gas. If it was a turbo diesel with as much or more hp than the blast and 100+mpg then it'd really be awesome. |

12hp? Congratulations, you've invented a scooter! Diesel is cool, but going from 60->100mpg while going from "highway capable" to "in town only" - not my thing. I guess if all you do is in-town it... sort of makes sense. |

There's a guy on ADVrider with a running thread on a similar Royal Enfield conversion. The Enfields used to actually be available from the factory (in India) with a diesel; not sure if they still do that or not. There have been threads on at least two older Triumph Tiger conversions done with Kubota 3-cylinder water cooled diesels; one of those may have been turboed. I agree with Curtis; if it's not turboed, diesel is not worth doing. If you want a diesel bike, this is definitely the way to go: Track T-800CDI |

It'd be free fuel (or damned near free) if you used bio-diesl |

They were supposed to have a civilian version ready for sale 2 or 3 years ago, but it hasn't happened yet apparently. |

not purple - not sure what its like around you, but here diesel is less than premium now. I know what youre saying, and usually i'd agree, but right now unleaded keeps climbing and diesel is staying pretty steady. Though Im sure that'll change sometime soon. |

The 33hp of that Marine diesel ( Kawasaki conversion, I think ) bike would be fine in a Blast chassis. Prime reason for a diesel for the military & some folk is just dealing with one fuel. Everything runs on jet fuel now in the Services. |

From the uploaders comments, it hits highway speeds, and its top speed is only about 15mph lower than a stock Blast. |
