Obama released his birth certificate. I would love to believe that this useless inquisition into his birthplace will be over but I'm sure I'll now have to hear how it is a forged doc. BTW @ Trump. Time to pony up the tax records. |

I would be more interested in his academic records. I would be more interested in why both BO and MO have failed to keep their legal licenses. I would be more interested in the truth about what nations passport he used when he traveled to Pakistan. There are many more things in BO's past that for some reason the media just isn't interested in finding out about. It's not time for Trump to show his tax records yet. I'm counting on him dropping out before he has to show those records. |

I would be more interested in why both BO and MO have failed to keep their legal licenses Maybe they don't drive and don't want to wait in line at the DMV for something they don't use what nations passport he used when he traveled to Pakistan do they ask the pres. for a passport? He has all the documents needed to get one so what difference does it make? I just think there's other more important issues to b!tch about than all this. I'm not saying I like him by any means I just think the more people question this stuff the more others don't listen when we question the real issues he's messing up.. just my .02 |

Andy, Why did you start a new thread when there was already an existing one on this old tired subject? Pretty lame. Obama himself is the cause of this controversy as he could have put this issue to bed in 2008. Nice to see that there are still some Badwebbers who are in dire need of education and still can not recognize the Socialist danger that this snake in the White House represents to our country. |

>>>>I would be more interested in his academic records. I had the pleasure of dining in the famous Woodrow Wilson room last night with a board I serve on. One of our members has Barack's Official Transcript from Columbia University. I suspect if he has it . . that someone else does and well and that it will eventually be leaked. I couldn't say it any better than a wise fellow once did . . . .

Obama is a total fool for telling us "don't ask about it anymore" and assuming the world would take orders from him and move along. Trump made a fool out of him. The shame is that Obama exposed himself in ways a wiser person never would have. We deserve better leaders. |

oh no, if you are paying attention, he is not a closet socialist at all, hell he should admit he is a Marxist. Van Jones certainly has. |

He has all the documents needed to get one so what difference does it make? Perhaps I should have said "Law" license. Both one time lawyers, have let their law licenses lapse. This can be verified easily online with the Illinois Bar. It's very unusual for any lawyer to simply let it lapse. A lot of hard work goes into getting to where you pass the bar exam, and few will simply let it slide away. Usually it happens as part of a deal to avoid some sort of investigation/prosecution. The travel to Pakistan is long before he was president. He went there when he was a young adult. At the time you couldn't travel there on a US passport (As a matter of full disclosure, I haven't verified these facts personally). The reason this is important is that if he had a passport issued from another nation, that would demonstrate that he had given up his US citizenship. Citizenship is still a requirement to hold the office of the President. |

Tom Because I didn't see the other one. Thanks for the lame shout out though. As for needing an education. Sure why not ones never done learning. However a good portion of the people on this board are just biased sheep. So i doubt there is much to learn from them. (on both sides) There are also people however that do make valid arguments at times and they have my respect. I also appreciate the things i learn from them. |

What is involved with maintaining bar? My guess would be that he would no longer need it, and as result would no longer try and keep it, especially if it was expensive or time consuming to renew. |

Cost is $289 per year. Hardly a burden for someone who is making good money. No, he didn't need it any more, but it is a status thing that few will simply let lapse while they are still actively trying to improve their employment situation. Call it resume padding if you will. Something that BO desperately needed while running for President BTW. |

Sifo Let me start by saying I am not on either side of this, so its not that I have an opinion against yours (overall) "Cost is $289 per year. Hardly a burden for someone who is making good money. No, he didn't need it any more, but it is a status thing that few will simply let lapse while they are still actively trying to improve their employment situation. Call it resume padding if you will. Something that BO desperately needed while running for President BTW." I agree on the 300 being small money per year, $6 a week, thats nothing. As for the 'status' part of your post - the man is the head of the greatest country on Earth..... I doubt an updated lawyer license is really going to make anything better for him. Now your point about Pakistan, thats very interesting. If you end up doing the research then please post it up what you find. That is a great point if it is true that US passports werent allowed at the time But at the end of it all, even if he came out and said 'yes, its not true, Im not a legal, natural born citizen' or whatever..........it doesnt matter, he was still president and will go down in history. It'd actually be a HUGE black eye to our country if all of that was true, that he wasnt legal to become the president. I mean think of how that'd look to others in the country. |

Gee, Bill Clinton kept HIS lawyers license up until it was taken for perjury. Made sure HE got it back too when his suspension was up. Obama not care about status? Right! |

We deserve better leaders. I think it is more like we need better leaders. Through some processes that we let slide, don't pay enough attention to, or just are too damn lazy to do anything about, we have earned the leadership that we have. This crap starts with local legislators everywhere who become professional politicians, who then deal and sell us off for their own benefit in order to sustain their political lives. This then becomes the gene pool for choosing our leaders. If leaders are chosen from outside this cesspool they are looked at as being unable to cope with the sharks that are in the pool. That then becomes the fact, because the pool is full of those professional politicians who would throw their own family members under the bus to sustain their seats. We have a lot of bright folks in this country. Why not have term limits of a single term, let them run again after skipping a term with no other government job available to them, nor any position of influence to government for their off time other than perhaps an overseas stint in the military. Set up a draft system for political majors and scholars. In the college system offer scholarships to become political majors. Get some balanced, intelligent, un-corrupted minds in the field. Put them through a public job interview, not a political debate where the best showman wins. Make honesty, morality, and integrity pay a bonus, as well as saving and properly controlling our money. Pay them for what they do, not for who or where they are, then actually publicly hang those who become corrupt. Every day hire a different disabled veteran to shoot every third lobbyist lawyer(there seem to be a lot of both) as they enter any federal government building(doesn't need to be a kill shot every time, putting one through a knee would probably suffice). Collectively we have, and have had, what we deserve by what we allow. |
