Central Arkansas has gotten hit pretty good with a tornado. I have some pics that I took of Little Rock AFB today. Luckily no one was serious injured or killed. There where three C-130's that got damaged, over a 100 house's on base, and multiple buildings with damage.

Wow. Looks like some powerful winds, mother nature has been on a roll with her spring time twisters this year. Just curious, do most people in that part of the country have basements? |

Glad to hear there weren't any fatalities, stay safe down there. I dropped my wife off at the St.Louis Airport yesterday. The damage in that area is pretty crazy. I'm not sure I could live someplace without a basement.....or maybe a cave attached to the house |

My dear sis lives in N. Little Rock- so far this spring she's had to dive into her closet at least 3 or 4 times with her cat- knock on wood, so far she's not had any damage. She works as a chaplain at the Baptist hospital group- with all this bad weather there's no telling when or what she'll have to deal with. We both grew up in Nashville- got to talk today with her, she'd spoken with a friend in Nashville who mentioned that tomorrow (Wednesday) was the year anniversary of the flood there, and with the next 36 hours there was a good chance that flooding could happen again... let's pray that doesn't happen, and that we all get through this rough weather intact. |

Here in North Central, we gotts lotts and lotts a water! All low water bridges have flooded. Was stuck inside for three days because my truck is down, KLR is down, and my dirt hill / road was either flooded, rutted, or just to muddy for shinko ravens. Today I made it through in the Uly, but had a pucker or too. On the plus side, I road over a low water with a least foot plus, and the girl did just fine, handled the ruts better than I thought too. That looks a lot like the 'nado we had up here at FT Leonard Wood on Christmas Eve. Be safe down there. |

"I'm not sure I could live someplace without a basement.....or maybe a cave attached to the house" It's no fun living in a bad weather/hurricane prone climate like Florida with no basement or storm cellar. Few people here are lucky enough to have them. If we ever do a re-model, we'd consider creating a "safe room" with poured concrete walls. For now, pillows and blankets in the hallway needs to suffice. With all the weather in the news, may be a good time to review our family's emergency plan and order a replacement weather radio. Be safe folks! |

I like that idea Cowboy. A friend set up a shelter using a large steel tank partially buried, with earth mounded over it...he sodded it over and that helps keep it cool. |

I've heard of this a few times....they were all used as underground meth labs instead of storm shelters though....lol |

Add Ringgold Georgia to the list. I can't get on the internet, only have radio and phone.guess I will find out in the morning how bad it is. this is my first attempt to post from my phone, maybe it will work. there is a triage area at a school and I'm between there and Chattanooga, lots of sirens going by. please put those folks on your prayer lists. |

It's not like there, but here in North Carolina we'v been getting wolloped pretty hard in spots with over 50 'I think' deaths so far. It's been like nothing I'v ever seen before. Hoping for the safety of Americas folk in the paths of these storms, may God protect. |
