I was able to participate in my first Patriot Guard escort, wow was that ever moving. There were about 400 bikes, the leaders said that it was the biggest turnout that they knew of in Iowa. The 20mi. route was almost completely lined with people standing at attention, saluting, most holding flags.

Wow I need to pay more attention to the news. Or I would have attended. |

Nick, They also did one for Sgt. Maher in Council Bluffs on Friday. I'm thinking about signing up for the Iowa Patriot Guard to get notifications. I didn't know Don Nichols but he was in my daughters grade. It was also to show my support for all the local service men and women from our area. They need it for being in this god forsaken war we are in. |

Attended another PGR event in Manning, IA for Sgt. James Justice. Damn, I hate to have to do this, I hope all this turns out to be worthwhile. |
