Well if your on a bike and get killed by a hit and runner driver THEY will get less time than if YOU get caught with dirty pictures on your computer. About half the time IF THAT. If you want to now WHY people act like the way they do to motorcyclist it because the law doesn't give a damn about us...I'm not talking police the laws themselves. The LAWMAKERS are the problem they'd rather go after the headlines on the fancy crap laws than deal with the hard problem that need to be taken care of. Hit a bicyclist in Rome and YOU are SCREWED dosen't matter who did what you have the power, brakes, and handling to give way. In America you might not even go to court much less jail. I killed him and ran link don't put me in jail I'm to young and Dirty Pictures are a ball buster link. http://jacksonville.com/news/crime/2011-04-22/stor y/law-disorder-driver-faces-10-years-fatal-hit-and -run Says something about America when Dirty photos are thought to be worse than killing someone...screwed up in the head is what it says. Canada is looking better all the time. (Message edited by Birdy on April 22, 2011) |

while I agree with you to a degree, i think you need to look at the whole situation. Yes, a life was lost and thats terrible. But the child porn guy did his crime 'dirty pics' as you call them MANY times over. Dont post it on here like porn is going to get you in jail longer than hit and run, its child pornography, MUCH MUCH DIFFERENT. WHile what the lady did was horrible - she left the scene and evaded the cops for some time before getting caught - it was a one time thing, one mistake. That child porn guy had over 200 files with child porn on it. |

That's bull! She was too young to know how to react but knew enough to evade police for eight months. She's a damn liar! Pardon my french but that makes my blood boil. |

Premeditation vs Spur of the moment possibly? Child Porn takes on a lot more than just "dirty pictures" and intent. It also involves more than just a photographer, and a pedophile, way more. The Hit and Run in my book is murder, especially since the driver (no matter the maturity) was going nearly the twice the speed limit. Even though there was no intent to harm or kill. I get your argument, but pedophiles are worse than most murderers. |

everything that is wrong with america is somehow always attached to a lawyer. I am having a hard time thinking of an exception. |

What is that, the child porn loving bear? Since you haven't met yet, allow me to formally introduce you to Pedobear. A quite crude fellow who shows up all around the internet and photobombs innocent children everywhere. Usually with an inappropriate/funny caption or animation. |

"premeditation vs Spur of the moment possibly?" In my opinion, her 8 months of evasion qualify as post-meditation. (not a real thing - I know. But you get my point) Even if the initial reaction to leave the scene was a spur of the moment decision, a person does not easily forget running into someone else at 70 mph. The following day, when emotion died down and reason took over, she should have immediately gone to the police. 70 in a 45 mph zone? I hope she's facing a charge of vehicular manslaughter as well. |

kiddie porn should be a life sentence with no possibility of parole... or execution. the dead biker should be worth at least life with possibility of parole in 20 years. just my opinion there. |

>>>kiddie porn should be a life sentence with no possibility of parole... or execution. I disagree. Why should the tax payer pay out well over a million dollars caring for him/her for 20+ years? A .25C bullet is much cheaper. |

Froggy is too squared away for that. Its just his bedroom wall paper. His mom put it up for him when he was 2. The reason its still up is the computers and parts that ring the walls since his Atari days prevent access to the walls. One day they will mine his room for gold silver and silicon Imagine an American pickers computer special. |

Why should the tax payer pay out well over a million dollars caring for him/her for 20+ years? Simple. Our justice system is completely FUBAR. Based on my own personal experience and other evidence I have seen, I wouldn't presume to put anybody to death that has been "convicted" in this country. |
