Does anyone use this unit??? Do you like it?

How is the satellite reception and how did you mount it to your bike?

I just turned mine on today and tried it on the bike. It doesn't work well in your pocket if it doesn't face south. You can get a booster antenna that you could also keep in your pocket but I haven't tried it yet. I may try a cell phone holder and clip it to an arm strap.

I'm planning on putting it in the map pocket of the tank bag since I use noise-cancelling buds that have a volume control.

I bought mine straight from XM, at Best Buy it was $200.

you really need the car dock and Antenna.
in the picture you can see the antenna behind the mirror , the antenna has a one foot cable so you do not have to wrap up 25’ of cable and hide it. TSS Radio has motorcycle mounting kits with the short antenna cable. Another plus to the car dock is that the volume is higher when using 12 volt power
I started a thread on Digital Radio Central last year talking about the mounting and install

Two Buells-

I like that, is it waterproof by any chance?

Your setup gave me an idea. I use a Belkin FM modulator to listen in my car. I can use my Iriver FM rcvr in my pocket so I don't have the cord from the XM.

Waterproof, no

Droid 2 Global, rooted and I have the SiriusXM app, but drops out when I lose 3G

I since added the XM Nav/radio Antenna to my Garmin Zumo 550 w/the Best of Sirius.
Waterproof and touchscreen with gloves on.
So now I have pretty much everything I need in the Zumo. GPS, Satellite Radio and many MP3's.

I still run a cord to my speakers in my helmet but the Zumo has Bluetooth and one of these days I might upgrade. they are a few other Bad Web members that have bluetooth set-ups.

Under the crossbar is my Droid mounted so I can send/Rec text msgs just like the cars out there that can't see us motorcycle riders.....

the Droid was mounted as a goof......

I never cared to listen to music when I rode until I started doing some long 500+mi. solo trips. It just got too boring otherwise.

I started with and Iriver mp3 player with FM. The FM was pretty limited range and was too hard to change while riding. Since it was only 1Gb I got tired of hearing the same songs over.

A couple of years ago the kids gave me an 8Gb Itouch. I had trouble coming up with enough music to even fill 1/3 of it. The Wifi was nice to use on the road too when needed.

Several years ago BluzM2 brought his XM along to a SW Buell ride in Phoenix. 52hrs. of commercial free music sold me on Sat radio. It just took a few years to get around to it.

Tonight I just listened to the Royals beating the Indians, I think I'm hooked.

Oh, I just have basic cellular that is provided by my employer since I'm on call 24-7. No extras with it.

I have a pioneer inno XM receiver. It's an older unit than yours (op). The reception is terrible. I would advise against getting one of those unless you can test it or know someone that can recommend it.
