Any bets on if he's some sort of engineer?

....not saying that it's well engineered, but it looks as though he likes to tinker.

Someone please tell me that's a Photochop... or tell me the date of that pic- usually Darryl and company take a series of 2-3 shots of any given subject...

So many of us are so proud of bolting on a slip-on or removing our turn signals because we're so darn iconoclastic. This guy's picture should be in the dictionary next to 'not giving a f***'.

"It's an 1125RUTC!!"
utc???

And I agree, dont think those are HD bags, HD used latches on the side, not front and back. Unless its really old, I know from the mid90s and up they've all been side latches.

Its not my style, but I like his thinking

Look at his gear. He's a more of a Harley biker, but riding a Buell. Probably wants the performance, while maintaining his other style preferences. I think it's really great, and goes to show there is a sport market in the cruiser crowd. Here is a person that found the bike he wants to ride, and modified it for his use. Sound familiar? Any of us ever do the same? Maybe he already had the HD bags, and didn't want to go spend another 1000+ on some "appropriate" luggage.

To hate is to show the same kind of bigotry that has been aimed at "us".

In fact I was thinking about this type of thing the other day. Suppose I were to ride into homecoming, what kind of response would I get. I do not own any "sport bike" gear. None of the textile motorcycle jackets, pants, etc., that I have seen in so many pictures posted here. Would I seem ridiculous to some of you, looking more like a HD rider than a Buell enthusiast?

Mirrors are for everybody.

Those are Gold Wing bags from the early '80's. Probably from a Gold Wing Interstate.

He was at Buelltoberfest last fall, except he didn't have those bags on it.

He had a bunch of cool tricks on his bike, including an easy access flap to get to the coolant bottle.

I forget his name, he lurks on here but doesn't post.

He was there. Stopped by and said"Hi" showed us some of his mods.

He hinged the right pod so he could check the coolant level easily. The windscreen can be disconnected real easy and it get's the wind off of him on the road.

He also put 1" spacers between the fairing and the mirror mounts so he can see past his elbows.

All in all, it's his bike and he is enjoying it.

You got to give the guy credit - he really thought out his modifications, and they look well executed. Looks like he's happy with his bike!

Indeed. We swapped bikes for a bit so I got to take it around the loop. I personally didn't like most of his mods, like he had custom bars that were more angled in, they were cramping my hands. But it is his bike, he is the one that has to ride it, and I am sure he enjoys it.

When I rode mine 1587.00 miles in three days I wish I would have had his "Mods" on my bike. Most of the riders here dont do really long rides (more than 100 miles) but some of us do long trips. I assure you after about 500 miles a day your vanity is gone and your wishing for a bigger wind screen and a more upright position.

I'm with rice. It's his time and money spent to make it that way, so more power to him.

I bet he puts lots of miles on it too.

The stogie is a nice touch!

This is definitely not a hoax. I was at Deals Gap on Sunday and parked my Uly about 5 bikes away. I hadn't even taken off my helmet when I noticed that bike. The most unique mod that you can't see in the pic is some sort of cigar clip attached to his throttle. Kind of looked like a huge plastic clothes pin of sorts.
