Wow, this piece goes wayyyyyyy back: This is a high-quality 11" x 15" photocopy I produced back in the '90's from several of my early Buell photos, including one of Erik and Court. We've just had breakfast at Dennys, and before gearing-up for our ride (dang, you better have your A-game going when these two get together...), Erik surprised Court with a little gift: That's Curious George pictured on the shirt, shown in mid-wheelie (that ultimately goes quite bad, in front of many camera-wielding spectators...), and the caption reads "Why, he had forgotten he could ride on one wheel!" Yes, of COURSE there's a story behind Erik's gift (EB was giggling so hard that morning I thought he was gonna piddle), and I'm betting that if you bid on this item, and bid HIGH enough, Court will tell you the story. (Um, right, Court??? ) As an added bonus, you get a lovely look at Jeremy Ricker's Snap Red S2 Thunderbolt and yours truly's Ice White Pearl S2: Court turned me on to Jeremy via an e-mail intro, we rode from the Pacific Northwest down to the very first Blue Groove together, and, well, the rest is history. And as an EXTRA added bonus: See the "Buell/Canfield" campaign sign above? I made that sign, stuck it amongst a bunch of "real" campaign signs during a local erection in Washington State, and sent the resultant photo to Thunder Press, which Reg Kittrelle published shortly thereafter (hmmmmmm, maybe I still have the copy of TP with this photo in it...) That sign still exists, and most recently hung with pride in the ThunderDome out in California: IF the winning bid is high enough (I have a certain amount in mind), I'll ship you this one-of-a-kind campaign poster to you, too. Shipping won't be cheap, not to do it right, so if ya want it, ya better say "Pretty plea$e, Ferri$, with $cream and $ugar on top!" This is a no-reserve auction with 100% of the winning bid forwarded to Jim and Tonya Rainey to help them cover medical bills, etc. I'll cover the shipping and handling. I'll let y'all decide what this crapola is worth, but please dig deep, peeps - this is for a very good cause. Auction ends Tuesday 4/19/2011 at 11 p.m. Eastern Time, i.e., BadWeB time. Thanks for looking! (Message edited by jerry_haughton on April 15, 2011) |

What the hay..... I'll open it at $50. Hmm, what are the chances that Court still has the Curious George t-shirt....if so, I'll double it to $100 if it includes the t-shirt as well.... |

Toona, thanks for your bid! Court's lips are sealed, too (ha!), but I bet he'd tell the tale for the right price.............. FB |

>>>I thought Court gave the shirt back to Erik... Ahhhh . . . . that shirt could NEVER be "given" . . it had to be earned. |
