Ok i saved up some more money and i want to buy a new bike.......... I have 3 choices lined up right now. 1. 2004 kawasaki ZX-10R with 29,600 miles for $5500.00 2.2004 Buell fire bolt XB12R with 11,790 miles for $4000.00 (dropped in the first 200 miles 2nd owner put 11k on the odo) 3.2001 yamaha R1 with 18,000 miles for $4,200 made the mistake of mentioning it to my GF and now she's mad that i have 3 bikes right now already. She has no job, and no car and is in her second bankruptcy. So she can't buy anything with credit and i am supposed to help her get a car also. Her job is 3 blocks away and opens in may. She is just jealous |

Sounds like you need GF upgrade New GF can buy you a bike. Problem with a Damsel in Distress is Once you rescue them all you have is a distressed damsel |

I guess it would depend on what you already own. I would look for diversity. All 3 sound like nice bikes. |

Im with BadS1, at least in this area none of those seems like 'a deal' I cant imagine paying almost 6 grand for a bike with 30k on it Also - find a new GF, she'll end up screwing your credit up also |

Here is what I'm looking at in the $6k range in my area. 2007 Yamaha R1 The bike only has 3997 miles on it. Clean and clear title in hand and ready to be signed over to the new owner. Bike has been garaged kept and has had the oil changed at least once a year in the fall if it needed it or not.The bike is stock except for some adjustable vortex rear sets. Bodywork is near showroom condition. $6500 OBO 2004 Hayabusa Limited $6,250 Under 6K miles!Bought it brand-new from the dealer with 1 mile on it, adult female ridden. Never gone down, and 100% garage kept. Full tune-up by Honda-East in Ohio in 2009, new fluids in 2010. 100% Stock except for the under-tail and LED tail-light with integrated turn signals. |

Don't walk, RUN from the girlfriend. The rest of the choices are minor variations on a theme. If you like your bikes and like to have the ability to have options on new bikes to buy, your GF will be mutually exclusive to those aims. |

I know it's not the kind you're looking for but it lets you know what kind of deals are out there. Last Sept. I picked up an '06 Vulcan 2000 with 12k on the clock for $4450. It needed signals but runs and looks like new. From those choices it seems to me you can get newer for the same price. It's definitely a buyers market and patience is the key. Unless of course you just HAVE to have a certain model or body style. |

I'm not sure, but I don't think Russ was asking for advice about his personal life. He did "put it out there," though. Your profile only shows the X1, so I'm with Rpm4x4 - go for diversity in the garage. |
