If they were a reasonably good leader there'd be all kinds of arguing and fighting about ousting them. Doing an excellent job would make it a lot harder for people to want to uphold the Constitution and give them the boot. Still should though, give 'em the boot, the theoretical non-citizen president that is. | ||

The real question is does the majority of the population believe in and is willing to fight for the rule of law, the Constitution. I'm afraid that in general, the general population no longer believes in the Constitution. Therefore, whether he is a citizen or not really doesn't matter. No one will advocate enforcing the rule of law. | ||

Really? Well Fatty, you will, and I will. There are others here who will as well. Have all of your neighbors and friends given up hope? Mine haven't. There are enough who will fight when the need arises. Biggest problem, sometimes, is knowing when it's time to fight. I see that indecision fairly often, and I work in corrections. When it's time to fight we all need to step up and do it. Otherwise we get our bell rung pretty good. | ||

I still have hope. It's what drives me to speak out, to try to change people's minds. I see so few who care to even take notice or who are so blind to the situation at hand that taking action in defense of the Constitution and the civil society seems unlikely. Since Obama's mother is a US citizen, then by birthright so is he. The rub is that if a person is not born in the US then he can only be president if BOTH his parents are US citizens. As we all know, his father was a Keynesian  Still, it's hard to deny that he was born in Hawaii, which in 1961, was a state in the union. I think the whole argument is a distraction. I'd rather discuss his agenda. | ||

I know if it is found he isn't born here, and he doesn't immediately step down OR make the announcement that he is/will be in an expedited fashion.... we will see millions of people protesting in the streets here exactly like it is happening in middle-east. | ||

The birth cert probably states his religion as Muslim. Well, it his parents were Muslim, one could expect it to reflect the religion of his parents. It's much ado about something. Obama is probably more concerned about being labeled "apostate" by the Muslims after calling himself a Christian for so long. He probably fears sharia law. | ||

Still, it's hard to deny that he was born in Hawaii It's equally hard to deny he was born any place else on the planet. It's not about being able to deny where he was born, it's about proof of where he was born. The simple fact is that he has chosen to spend a small fortune in the courts to not provide proof. the real fun part is if the big G shuts down... congress still gets a paycheck... but the men and women in uniform don't.... I understand the Republicans are trying to pass a 1 week extension that would provide pay for the military through the end of the year in the event of a shutdown.  BO is threatening to veto that bill if it comes across his desk.  The birth cert probably states his religion as Muslim. the whole birth certificate thing just boggles my mind... WHO GIVES A $HIT!! let me get this right.... say my mom was traveling abroad on business... vacation.. whatever... and shoots me out in a foreign county.... and then she brings me home... I wouldn't be and American citizen??? really.... REALLY.... I think the focus should all those great campaign promises and not where the big O's feet hit the deck when he was born How 'bout getting some of them troops home.... that would be a good start | ||

In the past, parents registered the birth of a child by either one or two American parents at the US Embassy, which made the child an American citizen by parentage. I, myself, don't care where he was born. Too late, Obama's in the WH. On the other hand, it appears great care has been taken to disallow the general public access to his long form birth cert. Why bother, unless there is something someone wants kept from public knowledge. It's not the birth certificate, it's the level of transparency, as in lack of. | ||

He needs to show the birth certificate, otherwise there's cause to believe he's hiding something. I had to show my certificate to get a driver's license, which I will probably now have to now show to vote in KS. And the pile of credentials one has to show to get a mortgage is mind-boggling. I can't believe no one checked his credentials to be POTUS. Show it and get this silly problem out of the way. Otherwise, he's saying FU to the American people. | ||

There is prima facie evidence of his birth in Hawaii. There is no prima facie evidence of his birth elsewhere that I am aware of. If you feel that you have been harmed by the issuance of a false certification of live birth, sue the State of Hawaii in federal court and bring your evidence. | ||

There is his grandmother who remembers him being born in Kenya. There is also the fact that he got student loans that are only available to foreign students. Those facts pretty much make your argument for prima facie evidence false. Having said that, I do agree that this will remain little more that a side show. The courts have refused all court cases seeking verification. I disagree with that decision, but there is no recourse. Much better to focus on who and what he is. The only real importance to the birth certificate at this point is that it demonstrates that he is less than honest (I'm being as kind as possible with that) about being transparent. There are several states trying to pass legislation saying that their electoral college votes will not be cast for any candidate that hasn't proven his status as a natural born citizen. That could for BO's hand. | ||

That is the problem. Up till now no Federal court has granted "standing" to any citizen compelling Obama to produce the long form with signatures. There are currently 14 states that are working to pass laws that require any Presidential candidate to produce the long form in order to be certified in that state as a candidate and be placed on the ballot. | ||

I think chad_hargis had the most plausible theory on the birth certificate: the reason he hasn't released his birth certificate isn't because he wasn't born in the U.S., it's because his birth certificate lists his race the same as his mom. | ||
