Got to thinking - I know, scary. With Erik's no-compete with Harley up; and with Harley Lawyers being told not to expend any resources defending Buell intellectual property, why can't he build and sell street 1125's to the public? What got me thinking is the new Street Fighter Typhon, and how street fighter kits are going to be for sale. Why not just build whole bikes? Make R's, CR's, Street Fighter's, AND Sport Touror's. He has already said he long ago wanted to build the 1190's for the track, and make 1125 ST's. Or is Erik already gearing up for something like this? Is something like this a long the lines of Court's vague and here one minute, gone the next clue's? Like this one: ". . . . . but when I reappear . . . I suspect you'll be quite amazed with the story of what's going on . . . . well, right under that very nose." When will more be reveled????......... |

He has the non-compete out of the way, but Harley still owns all of the patents on the 1125R as it sits today. He'd need to redesign the bike to get around that... and if you're going to do that, you may as well end up with an 1190. That's my take, anyways. |

Erik isn't sitting around. Search "1190RS". Why build version 1.0, when you already have a proven design and total freedom to build version 5.0? |

Because version 5.0 cost 42,000. |

6.0 will cost half that. |

Majority of the cost of the RS is due to its top shelf components. Those magnesium wheels, titanium valves, and other exotic bits aren't cheap. One Erik is established he will have a more civilian model that you can buy. |
