Mens soccer team got a great result tonight against Argentina!!!!!!!! The Argentines left there heavies in the whole game in fact they made 1 substitution. It was a cheaky game the ref let em play and the US was dominated in the first half but those cardiac kids never say dye attitude almost gave us the match. But a level match was all they could muster. Still a fantastic result there were 78,000 + on hand at Giants stadium. |

I saw the second half. The US counterattacked and then regrouped trying to stop the world's #1 player, Lionel Messi. The USA did well to draw but did reveal why they are ranked way below the Argentines': Lack of poise and the inability to hold possession for any duration. The US passing skills need to improve. That, and coach Skeletor needs to eat more. |

I agree but the US was fielding a good portion of basically rookies as well. I will say Messi is almost Zidane like only faster holy cow that guy has one more gear than everyone else. I wouldn't rank the US that far below the Argentines. They were outplayed yes but there set piece play was far better than the Argentines IMO. The kids did look like a deer in the headlights but hey if we want to be the best we will have to play the best. I believe by playing great teams is the only way to improve the squad. |

Watch out for the USA in the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand later this year. They have the capacity to surprise a lot of people. Chris C |
