Walking out of a biker bar this afternoon when I overheard a couple of grizzled old Harley dudes jawin' while looking over the Harleys parked along the curb. There both ARE just as fast...drop'em out of a C-130 and they'll both hit the ground at the same time.  Know a guy with a hotted up XR650 Honda THUMPER that can run most Sporties. OF course he had to rebuild it every year as he blows it up! | ||

Sounds funny, but maybe by "Jap" he meant a Honda Shadow? Boulavard? ect. There are other bikes out there then I4 Sportbikes. | ||

Jaimec your a better man than I, I would have probably said something. Depending on how hard core said bar was. Being my other bike is a Vulcan 2000, I haven't met a harley yet that will keep up. Although only a handful have tried and I'm not out looking for a race. I do however ride with a guy who owns an ultra classic and overheard him talking with another rider that was with us saying he wouldn't dare take off cross country on his ultra then he pointed at mine and said I'd go on one of those in a heartbeat. Made me feel pretty good coming from a harley dude. | ||

Anybody else find it funny that HD never put up HP numbers for their bikes. I know its trivial but its Sunday and I have nothing better to do.  | ||

actually they do put up HP numbers sometimes I want to say they stated that the Destroyer was 160ish and the new 120R (probably what he was talking about) is around 130ish IIRC HD sponsors a new AHDRA class called Draggin Bagger, it uses the engine. At the first race, only one showed up. It was the first pass the guy ever made and it went 12s I'd love to race one, no lie, but I was surprised by the time, figured they'd be quicker. | ||
