Awesome pics. That's a cool stretch of road, isn't it? That's "Bridal Veil Falls". That road was closed for a while when a big chunk of rock fell from above a few years ago. Here's a photo of me and my Ascot there taken in 2003:
The other Ascot belonged to a Buell rider I know from Atlanta. |

You follow Sybil??? Does not she have 19 documented personalities - or something like that? You're often lost, aren't you.. As for Matt and Jeremy. You started the motorcycling year off right! Awesome photos and a testament on how to do a "first spring thing" right! Thanks for sharing. |

I've been on (almost) all the roads you've blogged. This is making me want to hit the road in the worst way. Mt. Mitchell has some great food at the lodge. Never road under Bridal Veil falls though...that looks awesome. Thanks! |

You know Chad, I have an unnatural phobia of red pick-up trucks. I don't know what it is. I have had more run-ins with them that ANY other vehicle on the road. |

Pretty depressing photos; thanks for sharing them. On the bright side, GT made a very interesting post on Facebook yesterday:
quote:The spirit of TWO is sill alive because it was you, the the guests, who made it that way. We only provided a venue for that spirit, just because that venue is not available doesn't mean that the camaraderie stops! As one door closes an other opens, We'll keep you posted what's behind that door!
I'm hoping they've found another location in the general area to re-open shop. Fingers crossed. |

Those pictures make me cry. The best thing about TWO is that the people we've met there are still in our lives. Thanks for sharing the pictures and your fun weekend. Hugh - I saw that post...waiting patiently to see what's behind the new door! |

That was great stuff until that last part. Sad. But you gotta tell the tale, even if you don't like it. I hope they get something going. There is just something special about a place that when you check out, you tell them how much you owe them! I really hate not getting to go back again. |

Barker- thanks for the pics. Especially TWO, I really wanted to make a last ride down there just to shake GT and Britt's hands and see it with my own eyes. Something tells me that this won't be the last of GT and Britt, not by a long shot... |
