"That 250 cruiser weighs just 388lbs, making it 175lbs, 633cc and $4,000 less than the base Harley Sportster 883 SuperLow, itself meant to be a new-rider or female-friendly model. As a first bike or as learner fodder, I’m sure you can see the advantage of the ATK." Um...Blast!? I wonder how they will solve the "let me show you a real motorcycle" sales pitches? I think they're making a huge mistake getting in bed with HD. |

Yep I bet they get "Cubed" as soon as H-D get tired of them. |

quote:It’s doing that by putting realistic learner and entry-level motorcycles into Harley dealers, something The Motor Company itself is spending $60 million on. But where that single baby Harley won’t arrive in dealers for at least three years, a whole range of ATKs are available right now.
Harley's working on a new thumper? That'll be interesting to see. |

Woah, I missed that. 60 million? How hard is it to throw a Blast! motor in a cradle frame and slap on a peanut tank? |

Don't confuse H-D corporate, and an H-D dealership. |

The 60 mil is being spent to develop a single cylinder Harley.... not to bring in hyosung/atk |

The 60 mil is being spent to develop a single cylinder Harley.... not to bring in hyosung/atk yea, I read only what anger let me see. Still some annoying bits in the theory, but not as bad as it looked at a quick read. Sorry fellas. |

Keep an eye on this story. . . This could get good.. If a Harley-Davidson dealer can't sell Harley-Davidson motorcycles that .....to me...suggests lack of core competency. I'll bet your they produce similarly lackluster with the cheap, low margin Korean bike.. I could be wrong......but" as a pompous know- it-all.. I seriously doubt it.. |

Attempting to sell a Korean bike inside of a harley shop seems like just another way to run customers off. Similar to dumping Buell. It's gonna get mighty lonely inside those dealerships soon. Maybe they could rent out floorspace to the Maytag repairman. |

I could be wrong......but" as a pompous know- it-all.. I seriously doubt it.. lmao! The only thing HD has going for them is they're THE us bike (fading fast) so what do you do... Sell Korean bikes. |

I love this thread too. Fascinating to watch HD nowadays. Nothing against ATK, hope this tack puts them in the wind, but after HD mothballed Buell Motor Company: SOFA KING WE TODD ED. |
