After pumping $44.00 of regular in to my Civic yesterday I decided it WAS riding season! Maybe 32 degs and raining but at these prices it IS riding season. One little problem I put off buying new tires & brakes for the Buell all winter, unheated garage, and now I am getting ready to move so I'm on my KLR to work and back. All 1 1/2 miles of it. Anyway I just knew I'd catch a bunch of crap from the "Hard Core Bikers" at work. Well it was me on a KLR and a guy on a Cushman Eagle scooter and no one else! Guess it had to be 70 before the Biker set will show up! Anyway what do you think Road Pilots or Angels? Brakes I got cover I'll call American Sport Bike and get the Lyndalls. |

I broke out the bike for the first ride on Friday. Salt got a good washing from the roads last week. Great to be back on 2 wheels! I've been happy with PR2s on my bike. Very predictable and long lasting. I don't know anything about Angels. |

I am glad that here in the south we do not have riding seasons. |

I filled my truck for $60 and parked it and pulled out the KLR also and gassed it up and it was $22 for my 7 gallon tank! man gas is going to get worse just wait and see. The buell is not registered right now so it is just staying covered up and tucked away. It cost me $130 to register the KLR. I have to see what i can do about the registration money for the buell. |

Some of us in the 'biker' set have been showing up for weeks...600 miles on the season already... |

Yup, same here. That week in February was such a tease. I rode to work all week. Looks like this week will be back to normal and maybe here on out. Started riding full time last year at this time, hopefully this year too. |

Birdy, Several local riders here are running the Angels and like them. I have a buddy at work that rides his scooter almost year round. Guy wants a Buell but is just happy on whatever two wheels he can afford. PB1, Sell a kidney, they are hosing us for our bike registration here. Cheaper to have a bike in NYC according to a recent thread! I've got one unregistered right now too. |

Ouch, it's only like $45/year here. |

I still gotta get throttle cables, tires, and Im due for a bearing change. I'm at 18.5k or so miles, and I might as well do the 20k service cuz I'm anal like that; and it will be all taken apart anyway. I'm probably looking at another couple weeks or so before I hit the road. This is why I need a $500 back-up P.O.S. Just to feed the fix. WI motorcycle registration is $26 a year or something like that. Biannually. |

Yep, I broke down and rode in to day too. 25degF but the 47degF ride home was worth it. Even with the electric jacket the 1/2 hr. ride got a bit chilly on the fingers. Even my riding buddies thought I was crazy. |

25°F is crazy? I must be batshit from most of the winter here in NY then |

I'm with Froggy. People *park* their bikes? Like, *seasonally*? Weird.... |

I try to avoid riding anytime there may be ice on the road. Even more so after a fellow ST rider, who rode year round, lost it on ice and was run over by a semi. And with all the stinkin deer around here I have tried to ride less after dark than I used to. |
