I'm sorry, but 'collecting data' is not just cause to bend the 4th amendment into a fishing expedition. I assume that because these are "checkpoints", prior notice (newspaper) is required, thus allowing those who do not wish to be subjected to data gathering to use another route to their free association location. |

So what is the penalty for not stopping? I would seriously consider blowing right past... What a fuking joke. What is this country coming to? Does the public really hate us so much they will turn a blind eye to our Constitutional rights? Talk about persecution. |

In reading the article, yeah if they are REALLY concerned about our safety then put all that grant money towards billboards that urge cars to PAY ATTENTION AND STOP TURNING LEFT IN FRONT OF MOTORCYCLES! |

So... riding a motorcycle is probable cause? This could be really good with violations of civil rights, unlawful detainment, etc. I'd love for this to be enacted in Ohio. A pissed off fat guy who packs a gun having his rights violated? Should be awesome on Youtube. I already ran into a problem 3 years ago that involved a series of noise tickets on my stock exhaust that cost me a few hundred bucks to clear up in service visits and whatnot. Implied consent, not probably cause. It applies to all motorist regardless of vehicle type. I'm not saying I like it, but the reality is no one has had the right of privacy on the highway like they may have thought. When you get your license you agree to certain adjustments to your rights, thus the proper civil authorities have your implied consent. Just saying... |

I dont have anything to hide but you know as well as I do if this is successful they will just dig deeper next go around. Aftermarket mirror size, exhaust, licence plate brackets, when do we really get upset? Im upset now. |

I've heard that all States will soon be required to enact helmet laws or they won't receive fed highway funds. Hey, we continue to let this crap happen. I've been saying to my co-workers that we need 10M men with dozers and wrecking balls to converge on DC and take all this unconstitutional bldgs etc and level them. One co-worker said "yeah, but they have more ammo than we do" I wonder if that was said to George Washington too? |
