Well, I'm going to try and clean up my act this year. All last year when waved to on the bike I threw out the shocker. This year I'm reverting back to the 70s when I started riding. I will be sporting the raised fist this year. With the exception of politely waving to the LEOs. |

I stand up on the footpegs and wiggle my butt. So far, it doesn't seem to be catching on as a greeting. Maybe I'll go back to waving. |

Careful about suggesting "fisting" (Maybe it's just a California thing) |

I usually give an overly excited wiggly wave. Most of the time I get looked at weird but every once in a while I will get one back. Yes great success!! |

Did you ever notice that when it's below freezing, Everybody waves? Yesterday, it was in the mid 40s, and I ran into a "Hardcore" biker who didn't wave. Spring is almost here!!! |

I usually wave like Forrest Gump standing on the dock waving at Lt. Dan. Unfortunately I usually dress like him too |

I've noticed that people that ride to work wave Monday through Friday. The people out on the weekends not so much. So, up with the fist! |

thats because the weekend riders are too "cool" to wave. They are also the ones who pay for the stained tank tops by harley. |

I'm tired of all the Harley riders waving at me. I just want to ride. I always wave back though. |

'Shocker Fister' I was almost afraid to open this thread... Around here everybody does the low, two-finger wave. (OK, it's a peace sign but I won't call it that) I always turn my hand out palm-back to show the stars n' stripes Buell gloves. |

They are also the ones who pay for the stained tank tops by harley. The what? Do you mean something that makes the bike looked used? Sissy little peace sign, Like they are scared to wave. A fist is a salute. It's a wave with authority. If the fist comes back into style, I'll quit it. |

If the fist comes back into style, I'll quit it. lol I use whatever wave I feel like that day. Sometimes the excited/crazy wave; sometimes none at all. I was in traffic waiting in a left turn lane, and actually had someone in a car stall traffic in the forward lane so he could throw a shocker. I was busy getting ready for my left turn, so he got just a head nod. |

I've been fisted, and admittedly, I liked it. However, to properly pull it off, you need to be a very large, very hairy man, and be riding a hog. |

That's right, it went right down the turdlet. I've been riding to work since Friday. I haven't seen any other bikes on the road. I have to just give myself the fist in the mirror. |

>>>I usually give an overly excited wiggly wave. Most of the time I get looked at weird but every once in a while I will get one back. Yes great success!! We'll do that too sometimes. Just for fun. Imagine 4 - 10 bikers in formation doing it. The looks are priceless! |

Why not just go with a two hand salute? One fister, and one shocker? |

'cos when I have to stand on the pegs to give the wiggly butt salute, it gets dangerous when I let go of the bars too. |

If I return a wave I always return with the "Heman Woman Haters Club" secret handshake. Back of hand under the chin of the helmet and fingers wiggling away. It usually stops the other rider mid-wave. |
