@ 1:19: He said the frame was based on the Harley Davidson VR1000 superbike considered to be one of the best handling bikes in the world... Wha? That thing never went fast enough to test its handling. |

No worries.. This all fits neatly in with the new fad here in this country (that I intensely dislike, by the way). We're no longer Americans, we're Something-Americans. |

I'm a motorcycle-riding-gun-toting-fix-it-myself-cause-I -aint-paying-no-one-else-to-do-it-for-me-American. That thing looks like my Transformers toy collection I had when I was kid that got chewed up by a cow and crapped out in a farm field in Maryland. American or not, it sure is ugly. Love that they're making them here, though. |

If you went to Deal's Gap . . . . Newcomb's Ranch. . . . The Rock Store, Alice's Restaurant or The Eagle's Nest and said the word "America Sportbike" . . . what do you think most folks would say? How many do you think would blurt out "Fischer"? Just curious. |

Darryl, I thought that whole spiel about the frame was really goofy. True or not, trying to tag onto the likes of Harley in order to promote a sport bike is just plain bizarre. Maybe he can find a part to have made by the same company that manufactured a part for and F22 and advertise that too. I actually think the bike is pretty cool. I'd redesign the headlight layout and ditch the orange, but it seems okay for the market it is targeting. Not my preference at all, but as good or better than others I've seen. Court, Why of course everyone would answer "XR1200", what other American sport bike is there? |

"Carburetors! Blake like!" I like them too, until I start doing rides with some serious altitude changes (I've done a lot of them), then I'd rather have a good injection system. G |

Lessee...Hyosung at Suzuki SV price?? How is this "better" than the Suzuki? Because you could tell your friends it's American Made(R)?? Pretty sure the Suzuki motor is put together better... |

The name on the motor doesn't tell the complete story any longer I'm afraid, so you sometime snever know who is responsible for making exactly what? Hyosung actually assemble ALL Suzuki SV650 engines under contract with Suzuki, so it is little wonder that their engine bears a remarkable resemblance to teh old SV650 motor Build quality of the Hyosung engines is very good, it is just let down by their chassis components unfortunately, so putting one in a decent frame as in the Fischer is a great idea I'd have one if we could get them over here. If I remember rightly wasn't the MRX supposed to be supercharegd originally (or was that Roehr?) |

Steven, If the frame and the overall bike are designed and built in America, what is your problem with calling it an American bike? I'm fine with capitalist South Korea. As long as it's not composed of major parts from communist nations, it's cool by me. |

>>> I like them too, until I start doing rides with some serious altitude changes (I've done a lot of them), then I'd rather have a good injection system. A good CV carb compensates pretty well. The Keihin on my Cyclone hasn't given me any trouble. Great carburetor. |

I would like to ride one of these just to see if it is at all worth the hype. if it really is a good handling bike then it is good in my book. |

I wish the Fisher team the best. I just don't see any traction. I think its a cool, except the tail section looks out of proportion with the rest of the bike. |

Great carburetor. They are pretty good, I just don't have any experience with one over big altitude changes - on a big trip out west you need to be able to work from below sea-level to over 12,000 feet. How are they in that kind of situation? |

Blake we agree on something! 'If the frame and the overall bike are designed and built in America, what is your problem with calling it an American bike? ' Exactly, the same thing can be said (and probably is) about the 1125 bikes and upcoming 1190 - everything designed here but the engine. Its still an American bike. And yes, I agree that if you go ANYWHERE and ask about an American Sportbike that 'Buell' would be the answer, not fischer or roeher etc. |

I'm holding on to my money for a Erik Buell Racing. I wish them luck. I even thought about one for awhile. Change my mind though. |

Trojan, Thanks for the Hyosung/Suzuki info... Blake, I have no problem calling the Fischer an American bike. If that is ALL it has to offer, that's not much by itself. Chassis copied from EB via HD...engine made by Hyosung for Suzuki. Just bolted together here, wrapped in random bodywork. Sounds like Honda or Toyota cars assembled in the USA. How is the fact that Fischer is assembled here adding to the quality of the machine? I don't see it. |
