What I need to find is a source for some REAL wire connectors.... water tight... not the cheep stuff they have at Autozone Advanced Auto... blah blah blah...
It was easy adding the driving lights because the wires were already there... but I have just twisted them together and black tapped them until I come up with some good connectors
Shrink tubing is water tight and can usually be bought at the afore mentioned places. I did however have to do some searching for any type of length. Most places just have it in short spans of a few inches and I needed 2 1/2'. Finally found a roll of 3/8" X 6' at O'Reilly's.
I've got the rolls of shrink tubing for splicing..... I need the connector plugs for plugging and un plugging... you know... a 77 plug that doesn't melt...
mark, i have a huge supply of shrink wrap that has a gooie sealer that melts out when you heat it. its chrysler stuff, works great. totally sealing out the elements after you solder splice. the pieces are about 2" long. (chrysler wants $3 a piece for the things!) anyhoo hit me up
and Just fyi... the speedo was off by about 5 mph under according to the GPS on the trip home. Now that I added the 31's its dead on! Gotta love when a plan comes together.... LOL
Haven't seen any two pin connectors, most look to be 14 or better. They came out of a factory 20 years ago and have been sitting in a box in the basement ever since. Need to try and e-bay 'em. I've got dozens if not a couple hundred.
