Sold the mighty X1 today. For a song really. Had two interested parties and bang, it was gone. With a 1500 sf addition and a business start up, I had to be real about downsizing. I felt real bad about it. My wife cried. I always thought the Beemer would go first, but no, it was the X1. Life is bigger than all and this was one of those times. The buyer is a Bueller, so that helps. Whew...turning the page. |

I've been in a financial rut and I've been tossing around the idea of selling a Buell, but it just breaks my heart. It will be a last resort for me. |

I was very sad the day I watched mine roll away on someone else's trailer. Life goes on. |

So sorry Jon... I just sold my old BMW R65 a few weeks ago- never owned another bike as long as this one, but OTOH I'd not registered it since '05. Sold it to a nice guy, kinda local- we agreed to keep in touch and when he got the bike on the road, I'd take him on some day rides... Thought I'd be more sentimental about it, but it wasn't that bad- now, it'd break my heart to sell the XB, not at all for my Shovel... Keep your chin up- the day will come when you can reverse this sad moto-mojo... |

I have had a couple of offers to take the Yellow Beast off my hands in the past few weeks. I always contemplate it, but can't bring myself to do it. It is best to be realistic, but I'm not. I am not a collector of anything, but there is something about the Beast that keeps me hanging on to her. I have a Corvette I need to off as well. Yellow, of course. Again, I have a million excuses why I can't. You do what you need to do Jon. Good for you for getting it done. |
