My son needs at least 50 responses to the below questions; How many text messages do you send a week? How many days a week do you see your friends? Thanks in advance for your help. |

last week? a week in summer? a week during say sturgis? a week at a friends wedding retreat? is just a vid or a pic send count as a text msg ? define friends? people I am riding with? people I associate with? people, I would object to if ill befell their way ? with benefits?.... just how friendly are we getting? and a normal distribution of statistical 6 sigma only requires 30 data points. So to sum up, the assignment is vague, the data is over required norms, and there are cultural inadequies inherent in the sampling pool. Honestly, I would love to answer the question and help him out. But I think if he looks at WHY i cant accurately answer the questions, he will realize that its a bad assignment and definetly and 'unscientific' poll. |

How many text messages do you send a week? 0. Don't bother with text messaging How many days a week do you see your friends? Not often. Maybe 1 evening every other week at most. What can I say, I'm not a very social person. |

1: Why use a phone to text to a phone??? Call the number and TALK! It is much faster and much more efficient... Unless you are a kid sneaking a phone into class. Even then, passing a note, like we did in the "Old Days" is still MUCH more efficient. 2: I see my wife daily... When I am not deployed. |

>>> Why use a phone to text to a phone??? Call the number and TALK! It is much faster and much more efficient... Exactly opposite my experience. Texting is incredibly efficient. Example: Blake text to M.: On my way home soon, need anything at store? M. text reply: Yes, milk, bread, eggs, tomatoes, wine and some ice cream. or... Blake text to M.: Check out this pic of Darrell M. text reply: Thank you so much, that made my day. I used to think like you, but texting is incredibly useful and efficient. Benefits include no phone ringing or having to answer thus no disruptions, no having to wait for voicemail to leave a message, being able to send/receive photos, videos, web links; brief to the point communication no blah blah blah hello/goodbying needed. |

to add what Blake is saying the good thing about a text is you do not have to answer it right that second so you do not have to be rude to either the person trying to communicate with you nor the people you are around at the time of the communication. Also with the grocery list deal he does not have to call back to make sure he did not forget something on said list. |

Ah-HAH! I knew there was a reason why my phone is always off, unless I want to call someone! It has to do with that phone ringing thing! |
