just saw on T.W.O's facebook page they are shutting down. "We Regret to inform you that Two Wheels Only will cease operation on March 15th 2011 We'd like to thank all of you who supported this establishment and the local community for the last 29 years. It's been a fun ride!" |

Crap! I just found it too. Damn, that had to be the coolest M/C hangout east of the Mississippi (maybe in the U.S.). Maybe a business opportunity for an enterprising Badwebber? |

There has been a huge ongoing fight over that land ever since the original owner passed away. T.W.O. used to include the airstrip and the land next to it too. GT fought the good fight, but lost the property, and was left with what y'all know as T.W.O. As y'all know, whether or not you're in the right, the costs can and usually do kill. I'm wishing GT the best, I hope all will go his way. First Dale's, now T.W.O. Maybe a business opportunity for an enterprising Badwebber? What the owners want for the land the resort sits on, no bank would loan the amount. What I have said here, isn't gospel, it's what I've heard. I've not talked to GT personally about it, and won't, unless he brings it up. Suches will not ever be the same... |

I saw what he posted about the land deal. Man that just sucks. Wonder if he could find someplace else nearby to re-open if all else fails? |

I'm working on it Hugh, maybe just the thing to get me out of my funk. I do have a rich uncle. If y'all would, kindly post on the T.W.O.'s wall something nice. Something supportive. GT and Mimi are the best |

Huge loss to the motorcycle community. We loved it there with the hunter meets midwestern homemaker decor, accented by bits of of motorcycle memorabilia. The vibe reminded me of my Grandma's farmhouse when it was base camp during deer hunting season. So sorry we never made it to any Buell events there. |

Glitch- go talk to your uncle. Not being privy to any of the figures to maintain the ongoing enterprise that is TWO, nor the perceived market value of the entire piece of land in question, I've got a lot of quextions. There are a LOT of MC peeps that will flinch at this news, hopefully a few of them will have deep pockets and a predispensation for masochism, the fight for the good fight. I'm watching my upcoming days off- given a whole day or two, I'm heading down there! |

Perhaps we can talk Bill Gates into buying the entire town, and getting Dale back at Dale's. |

Such a neat place and great people. A real asset to the local community and the MC community. It just makes no sense at all to me! I hope they can figure SOMETHING out. |

Todd, the BP at the intersection of 180 and 60 is open but has not been run by Dale for a couple of years. It's referred to these days as "Not Dales". Glitch was bemoaning the loss of Dale as the proprietor. He created a motorcycle friendly atmosphere and was a good guy. |
