What are the minimum requirements for a laptop to run ECM Spy. I was thinking of one of the Notebook computers 1Gig memory and 160 Gig hard drive. |

You could run it on anything, its not a CPU or RAM intensive program. If you computer can run Windows, it already meets the requirements for ECMspy. If you are going to get a netbook and use it for datalogging, get one with a Solid State Drive (SSD), the vibrations and abuse in a backpack will shorten a hard drives life. |

Yeppiree - the solid state hard drive is a must. Vibrations and read/write access = CRASH. DAMHIK |

133Mhz was the min speed if I recall. Memory wasn't much either. I have a 133Mhz and 16mb laptop I use for game guides at home that I was going to use. Only reason I didn't was I lacked the USB port and couldn't find the stuff needed to make the serial cable needed for it. |

Serial port is even easier, you don't have to deal with the BS of having the USB COM port acting up and ECMspy not detecting it. I'm sure its easier to make than the USB version too, but I would have to check the cable guides to confirm. |
