So I see it this way Day one = Buy 1190 RS Day one + 1 minute = Remove exhause and replace with race exhaust (while boycotting the state of California) Day one + Infinity = ride with a big grin on my face... |

"don't know exact numbers on the streetbike, but the race version I rode at Miller last year weighed around 363 wet give or take a pound and put out right around 190 on r tec pro v 1." "we think we could get one down to 340 something if we went crazy with ti and lightin'n up things."

My new 1190RS is in my garage, can't wait for spring, seats a little hard, but my hard-luggage looks good on it (trunk and bags).Probably going to take off those clip-ons and put some "ape-hangars"on it.And last, but not least,TONS of neon and chrome and a 300 section rear tire (can you say"stunta!") Erik will be so jealous when he sees what he COULD have built! |

Are you kidding? If after less than 24 hours of partial info release, there is this much interest everywhere... Then three years from now, with production up the bikes will be very affordable new im thinking. |

"connecting rods are machined from forged steel blanks by an American company" Anyone know which company this is? I would assume S&S, but can't find any specific information. |

I LOL'd at Erik complaining about not having enough money to buy his own bike. Not that I don't believe him, it's just a humorous situation. That is indeed a bad ASS machine! Ducatis will wet themselves lined up next to that thing! ~SM |

hmm my guess will be at infineon....until then everyone will just make snyde remarks about the clutch or the stator, or call Erik a hypocrite for putting a side pipe on it..but as soon as it runs well it will be a cheater. |

First, CONGRATULATIONS to Erik Buell on offering up a KICK AZZ AMERICAN V-twin!!! Caution: The following are MY thoughts and/or opinions. Yours may vary. I am not a fan of the stacked headlight look or the high tail pipe, though I understand WHY he did it. I would probably never ride one on the street, but I sure wouldn't mind piloting it around a track! |

In case you're wondering what it'd look like with the "secondary" muffler removed, somebody on ADVrider already did a Photochop: Pretty cool... |

In the curtain picture, the body was white and not carbon fiber (assumed). Would Erik and the elves be checking the fitment of the more affordable panels on the carbon fiber bike we just seen? I would feel certain that there arent 12 bikes already done but Erik does the impossible all the time so who am I to say! I keep thinking about the Shelby 289 Cobras. Shelby built one car and kept repainting it different colors for each photoshoot (no photochopping back then!) making the homoligation team think there was more than one. |
