>>> I fixed it for ya Ah, no you didn't. Your just being a smart alec a$$hole. I really don't like when someone pulls that crap. And a lot of people do that around here. A LOT of people, a lot of the time. Quote me - fine. Give me your take / opinion - cool. Correct me when I factually wrong, and I'm thankful. Being a prick, has me wanting to tell you to F#$K OFF. I do not consider that being part of treating other's, as you would wish to be treated. I'm done ranting now. I'm sure I'll get flamed... |

Fixed my buddy's brakes yesterday- took a new caliper on one side, a fair amount of cussing, a few beers. Can anyone fix my dirty fingernails, a blood blister, and some fresh aches and pains? |

I think it depends on the context in which it is meant. If it is done in jest, it is no big deal imo. |

2008xb - we gotta hang out some time. Peopleofwalmart.com is one of my favorite, most twisted sites of all. They got some real mutants on there... I sure am glad I'm on the right side of the bell curve. (remember, half the population is below average). |

lol. Funny guys. When in jest, it's okay. Context does matter, true enough. Still, the comment ranks right up there with "How's that working out for ya" |

There was a time when the responses would have generated very negative thoughts and feelings. In all likely-hood my response would have gotten me kicked of this board. Today, while I do find some humor in it all, I am serious about my thoughts. I feel that in many cases, it's a rude and disrespectful comment. Making light of someone's thought's and opinion's isn't the nicest thing either. Maybe it's another case of needing to lighten up, I don't know. I do know that I've never meet any of you. I do not have the relationship some of you have with each-other. Some here I've gotten to know a little bit, and I don't mind the comment as much coming from them. But I've had the "fixed it for you" pulled on me by people I've never seen a post from before. I see that as walking up and bitch slapping someone you've never meet, because they are wearing a shirt you don't like. I guess what I'm trying to say is this: I work hard to say the same thing in my posts, that I would if your standing right next to me. When "talking" to someone online for the first time, I try to treat them as if I meeting them face to face in public for the first time. Do I fail sometimes - sure, but I try. Too many today say things online they wouldn't face to face, or toe to toe. |

Gabriel - if you perceive my post as a jab at you, then I offer you my apology. My intent was to introduce a little levity to the thread - maybe a bad choice on my part. The title of the the thread made me immediately think of the site. Daaannng!! |

It's impossible to get the context to carry over the internet very well. That being said, I treat this as a very friendly atmosphere and I treat most if not all the people here like a friend. Heck I've been talking to some of Badweb's finest longer than some in my personal life but have only met a handful. I'll probably never get to meet the likes of Mr. Grumpy or Danger Dave but I do like talking with them on here and if I did get to meet them I'm sure they'd be alright. To me a thread progression goes about like a conversation you'd have with anyone. Rarely do you see a friend, talk about one topic and split, it progresses from one thing to another. Especially if one person says something that triggers a thought in another, they're going to talk about it. This is where you put in one of these.
I take everything anyone says usually with a grain of salt and if it can be taken some other way then I give them the benefit of the doubt until they prove they're a douche canoe then just as in real life I walk away and ignore them because I figure they've got their...
So, anyway just take this and everything else for what it's worth and enjoy the place, I know I have for about five years now. |

I'm a self admitted pic . I have to go through LOTS of paperwork at work so while the printer is printing I have a little time to do some surfing. I actually believe that the above pics came from somewhere here on Badweb way back. I save them ALL in a folder so I have a rather large arsenal lined up. |
