I'll keep commenting EVEN THOUGH the image in the OP isn't showing any longer... I'd always wondered about how silly god must think us all when we even see athletic teams praying for victory. I'm NOT making that up. OK now - tell me why god should favor an athletic team? That means that the losers are not favored by god simply because the "other side" won? Does god ONLY favor the Packers this year - because NONE of the others even made Stupor Bowl? Heavy... duuude... this is getting existential. Gotta get another cup of coffee. | ||

If you believe in a multiverse (and the folks who study quantum mechanics do) everything that can happen, does happen. You're free to choose, but you've chosen everything and in doing so, created yet another universe. If God is omnipotent, He can see all off these universes, and knows everything that is going to happen because everything will happen. Wrap your noodle around that. I'm not sure I can. | ||

Parent advises child to avoid touching hot stove and explains the consequences should they do so. 3. Parent allows child the freedom to make his/her own choice. 4. Child questions wisdom of parent and touches hot stove, predictably suffers a burn. 5. This demonstrates that the parent has no authority over the child? Not so much. | ||

Curtis, I sure don't agree with a hobby being thought of as a religious endeavor. I think track riding is a great hobby, and that pursuing excellence in fair measure with respect to a balanced life is certainly a worthy endeavor. | ||
