I was going over the Autoblog.com posts and HAD to watch a video where they pitted a 427 Cobra against a 2011 Shelby Mustang Super Snake. How could it get any better, right? Well it did! Multiple times you will see the Buell Racing 5th wheel trailer in the background. I assumed that HD would require whoever bought the trailer to take the stickers off it. http://www.autoblog.com/2011/02/03/video-hot-rod-p its-shelby-cobra-against-super-snake-bad/#continue d |

That's awesome . . . yeah . . most companies require, as a condition of sale, that all markings be obscured. You've likely seen old Ryder or Hertz vans that have been painted over. What better advertising. . . than to have Buell vans showing up at Shelby events . . . that'll start some rumors, eh? |

Hmm. I could be wrong but i doubt HD cared about anything that was sold in the Fire sale. My dream car since they came out 3-4 years ago has been a Super Snake. Can't go wrong with that combo of Shelby cars and Buell Trailer. Although, it is odd that being a Ford/Shelby test would have that trailer back there even though Ford and HD has had some history together. Anybody know who bought the trailer? |

Since some kid wanted to wreck my Ss, I'm glad i got my 1125 at a "significant discount". I would have bought mine at full price regardless. |

Hmmm....I could see Carroll getting into bikes.... Of course, since it looks like the vid was shot at LVMP, Carroll's facility is right AT the entrance gate. Buell trailer may have been there for something else. |

Court - the Ryder thing is a perfect example. After watching it again (and again, and again...) I'm surprised even more that the HD emblem is still on it. Ratbuell - I didnt realize it was at LVMP so they wouldn't use a trailer to get the cars there plus the truck pulling it is a GM. Since it seems they intentionally used the trailer as a backdrop and highly doughting Shelby would own a GM truck it must have been purchased by Hot Rod / Source Interlink Media. Since it seems like they were able to get away with keeping the stickers on its pretty cool that they thought enough of it to keep them. |

...the only thing I see wrong (? - if anyone would know it'd be The Man himself) with the vid is, I thought Carroll was still using his 86 Omni GLHS with 16V Cosworth head and (sourced by yours truly) 60-trim VNT turbo as a daily driver... I really need to get MY 60-trim VNT car (89 Shelby CSX-VNT #135) out of storage and play with it again...
Someday I'll build a Cobra. With a Viper V10 and unpainted aluminum body |

I always thought it would be neat with the Ford/ Harley Davidson partnership to....... 1. they have the Ford Harley Davidson Pickup to.......have 2. A mustang Buell tie-in. A heavy duty hd truck, and a sporty, fast mustang, with the buell logos... |

Looks like Shawn Higbee's, I believe that is even Shawn in the background in the early shots of the trailer. Here is a picture at Willow Springs Raceway last year when Latus Racing was there auditioning Bobby Fong as a possible new rider. Shawn must have been there for testing or racing.

+1 on Higbee. He used the trailer when he was racing for Zero motorcycles at Infineon last year. |

"yeah . . most companies require, as a condition of sale, that all markings be obscured." The company my uncle works for sold off a van on the condition the guy take the graphics off, he never did. Then it started showing up at strip clubs, needless to say they got a lot of calls from upset clients and customers. |

The Buell aspect of this thread is cool, but is nobody gonna comment on the video with the Shelby Supersnake Mustang with SEVEN HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE HORSEPOWER? Holy smoke! |
